You were mistaken to think they would make RP's relevant this early. Saquon was last year but he was a generational talent, dunno if I'd go that far with these two yet
Quote from stovy4x4ing >> yeah wtf no 9ers got an upgrade. but we do have, Young , rice , Kittle, beckner, juice all are 85s or higher. i gotta get Young and rice maxed but so so busy. Also Verrret just got an 88 flashback card. were gonna be stacked again come Jan when the fun promos come and more players get PUs. My tes were aweseome 99 in kittle and Davis, Wish we had more HB and o line last year. man i miss my 19 squad already lol.
Yeah funny that we got two dbs with pick sixes but the TB CB, who lost, got the ToTW.

I have all except Murray and not one has seen a snap all year. By the time EAA was over I already had better guys in each position and these upgrades aren’t cracking my lineup. For these to have any value on any decent team, they need to get big upgrades from time to time.

Last year was decent, Barkley got an 88 off the bat and was useable for a few weeks.
This seals it for me. At the end of M20 I will ONLY be making RPs for my farm squads and ZERO on my main account.
Quote from gbwisc >> Quote from Nacaw >> Most cards have a set path for upgrades, kinda like in FIFA. He'll go from 81 to 85-86 for his next one. I'm just surprised they completely skipped any cards in the 80's for Lamar Jackson, because going from 76 to 90 with a single cardcertainly won't be the norm. That's skipped at least 2 natural upgrades!
I may have misunderstood with they were saying about LTD TOTW's, but Lamar's 90 won't be part of a future upgrade path through PowerUps. Anyone else that wants to clarify that?

Pretty much this. This comes up every year and TOTW ratings don't reflect the quality of their performance vs. other players in TOTW, and they're generally conservative with their upgrades. Of course, as noted, there's Lamar for whom those rules apparently don't apply.

People were screaming for Ridley to get an upgrade last year before they did it and it was trash for 99% of teams. Why bother doing these if zero players will be usable.

This is correct. Neither "upgrade" will likely make anyone's roster at this point.
Its really a shitty move by EA (what else is new). RP's are the only thing that transfers from year to year and it comes with a hefty price tag so EA should be a little generous on giving upgrades. Like WTF is the point of us investing so much in RPs if the payout is worthless.
