Passing is not looked at as much because of how easy it is to do runs, but one of the most common problems I see with the passing is we coming to a point where WR's is having crazy enough stats with no counter from DBs since they do no match up to our pool of WRs out there now stat wise. Unless you want to throw a ton of time and effort or money into getting guys like Slay, but this is only 1 CB, I didnt even care for Ty Law. Theirs also so many issues with TE's able to get open, thats been the one constant I notice is how TEs get open so easily, you can only user a Safety or someone like Shazier/White to only go so far due to other options being way too wide open.
On Defense theirs a huge problem with Linebackers, when they should be on an assignment within a zone like the middle of the field, the LB that should be covering that zone where most of the passing plays happen, is off covering a WR with 2 other defenders up field like a total jackass. They shouldnt be able to get interceptions the way they do or were doing, but they should at least be able to be in specific areas where the QB read is "Nope, not passing there". Instead thats usually the most common wide open spot for a WR. Basically the AI in this game only works when it wants to.
forgot to add the patch was horrid, faster zone reactions is wrong when it was never the problem. zones not doing their job/bugging out etc etc. is the main problem with zones. improving an already fast reaction is not going to change that.
No this is the hardest it's ever been to pass. If your opponent has 2 d line chems good luck just passing. It's possible you just have to be good
most people what read but im glad you are one of the few able to see what happens in a whole game not just one small area or watching a game with bias vision on. the biggest problem when it comes to the passing game is around eaqualizer/dda/sliders or whatever. it causes open passes to be dropped, instant sheds to occur, blocksheds and many more animations WITHOUT considering stats. if it was constant stat based and/or realistic every down than it would not be a problem. the biggest issue i face is people who sit in cover 3 or cover 4 drop all game long. their defense ONLY works IF ea boosts them with blocksheds, instant sheds and coverage assistance. there is no user skill, no adjustments it literally works or doesnt based on if ea helps them or not.
anyway i do however disagree with your overall point. i think the run is a bigger problem and here is why, the run game problems are more unrealistic than the pass game problems. it is supposed to be an nfl game after and realism>
