A comparison between Moss’s PU card before and after the 92 LTD was added:
New Moss has all the sideline/endzone catch animations. Old Moss was constantly making that second step out-of-bounds and turning a 20 yard gain into an incompletion. New Moss drags that second foot in the corner of the endzone, TD.
New Moss makes spectacular catches on deep throws. Old Moss could occasionally make a spec catch, but often the safety would get behind him to user a pick. New Moss, if he doesn’t just out-run the D, he’ll actually go up in the middle of 3 defenders to make a ridiculous catch on occasion. It’s not automatic, but it’s like going from a 5% chance of completion to a 33% chance, and 33% chance of an interception goes down to 5%. It’s a big/noticeable difference.
New Moss has swagger. Old Moss shows up to the game in sweats and earbuds. New Moss shows up in a 3 piece and Beats. I don’t think any other card in the game carries the same intimidation factor. If I see Vick, Tillman, Deion, etc. in my opponent’s top 3, it’s just somebody to lightly scheme around. If you lose track of Moss, he’s going to blow your doors off.
