Salary Cap Mode update on December 5th

So per Kraelo/RG on the Madden Forums:

Salary Cap mode's next update will be Dec 5th Cap will increase to a range of 925-975 EA will consider tuning the following for this update:
Player Caps Ability Caps Lineup Criteria Thoughts: So, a 150 cap-jump from 825 would drastically change the way the mode feels and plays. But I believe this would be the last update, which matters. Furthermore, they will look at player caps (likely reducing them), giving us more cap in a sense. Ability caps will likely get reduced and increased. And for abilities that are "expensive" and still considered "overpowered", they may get more expensive. So I would not worry yet about people feeling like they have the cap to use all the overpowered abilities now.

Lineup Criteria is an interesting one. I feel Three things could happen here:

Require a third flex. Instead of forcing you to have two Strong Safeties and one Free Safety, they give you the option to have two Free Safeties and one Strong Safety instead.

Some people use silver, some use golds, some use elite elite level. The rationale behind elite-level o-line is that the cap for O-line increases at a slower rate from one tier to the next when compared to non-linemen cards. But I think most people feel that o-line does not matter in this game, so they use the lowest cap possible for o-line. I would say to use linemen that at least allow you to put chems on them (so gold).

I personally do not believe that weaker teams get boosted in games against stronger teams in WL and H2H though.

What’s your normal approach to building o line? I’ve seen a lot of different opinions on it

It's the best mode. Competition is fierce though. Of the pool of players that play SC, there is a lower percentage of scrubs compared to WL. SC will make you a better player because schemes play a much bigger role. People build their teams in one of two ways:

There is no increase until Dec 5

Is it safe to assume no cap increase this Friday?

Build a team that fits the scheme they want to run Build a Theme team and implement a scheme that accommodates the roster Believe it or not, method 2 actually works, and the ratings boosts from the team, uniform, and stadium chems can make this a viable option. I am using a giants theme team right now with Kurt Warner, Saquon, and a 91 Evan Engram which is very lethal in cap. Just make sure to hit 25 players.
