How long until we see a day in Madden that throws and catches are realistic?

First I want to start off saying this is not bashing the game and I see other sports games struggle with similar kinds of things so I'm sure it isn't an easy thing to do but I have to imagine it can be accomplished one day.

Madden throws as long as I remember have pretty much all  either inaccurate and usually uncatchable or perfectly accurate that will be a catch, knockdown, INT, or dropped on contact depending mostly on where the defender is. If you turn on a NFL game on TV, you will see a lot more variety in these plays. INstead of passes ether being inaccurate or perfect, sometimes the throw is so perfect that it gets completed through blanket coverage or other times the throw might be a little off target making the catch a little harder but still possible. Maybe the throw is pretty accurate but the defender is right there so instead of it almost always being either a catch or INT, both players are jostling for position and both miss the ball.

I drop 90 % of catches unless I am wide TF open. Or the good ol' dumb Reciever swating the ball trick. Or the 5'8" safety behind my 6'5" WR/TE getting the jumpball by a whole foot or catching the ball with his hands threw my body.

But hey at least you can run the ball fairly easy. But this is only because AI pursuit angles are broken.

TL/DR...

Throwing is better this year IMO because you can actually fit a ball OVER a defender.

The problem is the heavy reliance on animations which I believe is a symptom of a mismatched game engine and won't be fixed anytime soon.

I'll use my Moss with Streak Specialist as an example. When I throw that pass I know one of the following is going to happen:

1) it's press coverage so he will blow by the defense for an easy catch and run TD.

2) he'll catch the pass for 40-50+ BUT be sucked into an animation before the ball even arrives where the defender drags him down right away.

3) he will make no effort to actually go get the ball and will instead focus solely on playing defense against the defense

4) INT.

Every. Single. Time.
