Scammer Accusation Guidelines (Please Read Before Posting)

We're aware that on occasions the outcome of some scammer accusations can create unrest and confusion. In light of this, the mod team has taken time to review some of the scammer "tagging" policies and we are working towards increased transparency in the process. Here are general guidelines for scammer tags:

As a general rule, scammer tags will not be applied for scams taking place outside of Muthead where Muthead is not involved. If someone is using their Muthead reputation to commit a scam elsewhere in the community, the accusation must also provide proof that the scammer referenced Muthead or that Muthead was involved in some capacity in order for a tag to be applied. If a scam occurs involving cash, MSP, PSN, etc., the mod team will not get involved. This is a violation of EA's Terms of Service and Muthead policy.

Submitting a Scam Report It's clear that some members aren't sure how to submit a Scam Report correctly. This causes additional work for the Mod team and also means some things may be missed.

Please follow the format below for submitting a scam report:

Thread Title Scam Report - (username of the accused member)

Thread Content

Parties Involved: Ex. Crunchytaco scammed Frozenjello

Content Involved: Ex. Crunchytaco agreed to trade Frozenjello 99 Bo Jackson for MVP Lamar and MVP Watt. Cruncytaco completed the trade of Lamar for a Bronze coach but refused to complete the second half of the transaction of 99 Bo for MVP Watt.

Proof: Here's where you back up your claim. In order for the mod team to be able to take any action you must provide enough proof to make it clear that a scam occurred. Ideally your proof would include:

Pictures of what was agreed. Screen shots of recent transactions, such as accepted/declined trade offers or proof of bought out items. Images of the full conversation whether or Muthead or XBL/PSN. For scams taking place anywhere but on Muthead, you must also provide proof that Muthead was involved in some capacity. Ex. A scammer referencing their Muthead reputation. If you're unsure how to post images please take a look at this thread:

Any supporting evidence: This could include things such as links to supporting threads

If you have any questions about whether we can investigate your scam or not, please PM a mod.
