NFL Mock Draft 2.0

For those that saw my Mock Draft 1.0, sorry for the long wait but here’s 2.0. For those that are new, I do a mock draft of what I would do for each team at their current draft slot (with a few trades usually). 3 Rounds, 106 picks(yeah, lots of players)! If there’s something you agree/disagree with weather you think your team will go in a different direction let me know, I welcome all kinds of feedback! I’ll probably release 1 more before the actual draft

  1. Bengals - Joe Burrow; QB, LSU: If the Bengals hold onto Andy Dalton, it may be because they want Burrow to get used to NFL offenses and develop
  2. Redskins - Chase Young; DE, OSU: I don't buy the Skins are interested in drafting Tua and will look to improve a developing defense with the best prospect in the draft
  3. Chargers (from Lions) - Tua Tagovailoa; QB, Alabama: The Chargers get their QB by bypassing the Dolphins by trading the 6th pick, 37th pick and a third next year to the Lions for the rights to the 3rd overall pick
  4. Giants - Tristian Wirfs; OT, Iowa: The Giants need to improve a weak O-Line to protect Daniel Jones for the next decade or so. Wirfs has improved enough to be considered the top guy at his position.
  5. Dolphins - Justin Herbert; QB, Oregon: While they miss out on Tua, the Dolphins will be ok drafting the most NFL ready QB in Herbert.
  6. Lions (from Chargers) - Jeff Okuda; CB, OSU: Despite trading down a few spots, the Lions still grab the guy that will improve a secondary that just lost their best player in Daryius Slay.
  7. Panthers - Derrick Brown; DT, Auburn: Brown has everything he needs to be considered a Top 3 pick in any draft, so Carolina will happily take him 7th overall.
  8. Cardinals - Jedrick Wills; OT, Alabama: The Cardinals all the weapons to put up points each week, but unless they can protect Kyler Murray that all won't matter. Wills can play on either side of the ball wherever he is needed.
  9. Jaguars - Xavier McKinney; S, Alabama: The Jaguars are in complete rebuild mode and the secondary is where it needs to start. McKinney fits the scheme for the Jags a bit better than most defensive players do.
  10. Browns - Isaiah Simmons; LB, Clemson: The Browns seemed to have fixed their need for OLine by signing Jack Conklin so now it's time to focus on the defense where Simmons fits in perfectly as a linebacker for them.
  11. Jets - Jerry Jeudy; WR, Alabama: Weather they resign Robby Anderson or not, the Jets need to get Sam Darnold receivers. Jeudy is one of the best receiving prospects to come out and perfectly fits the Jets.
  12. Raiders - CeeDee Lamb; WR, Oklahoma: The Antonio Brown experiment didn't work out the way anyone thought it would, and the Raiders are still looking for that true #1 receiver.
  13. 49ers (from Colts) - Mekhi Brown; OT, Louisville: Joe Staley is getting up there in age so it might be a good idea to start looking for his replacement soon.
  14. Buccaneers - Andrew Thomas; OT, Georgia: The Bucs won the Tom Brady sweepstakes, now they need to protect him. While he didn't have a good combine, I still think Thomas is one of the top prospects this year and won't disappoint whoever drafts him.
  15. Broncos - CJ Henderson; CB, Florida: After losing Chris Harris in free agency the Broncos don't have a shutdown #1 corner and will need to get a new one to go head to head with all the solid receivers in their division.
  16. Falcons - Javon Kinlaw; DT, South Carolina: It's been a while since Atlanta had that dominating for the front of the defense and would love a guy like Kinlaw to be there with the 16th pick.
  17. Cowboys - Grant Delpit; S, LSU: While they did sign Ha Ha Clinton-Dix away from the Bears, the Cowboys need to find second safety that will help in the pass game on defense.
  18. Dolphins (from Steelers) - Kenneth Murray; LB, Oklahoma: With the second of 3 first round picks the Dolphins figure they can use one of the them on a linebacker that always knows where the ball carrier is hoping to end up.
  19. Raiders (from Bears) - Patrick Queen; LB, LSU: The Raiders would love to grab a player like Murray, but with him off the board they will take a shot at Queen to fill the hole they have.
  20. Jaguars (from Rams) - DeAndre Swift; RB, Georgia: It seems like Leonard Fournette is on his way out, so the Jags will help out his workload by drafting a back who is the college opposite of him with more power and speed in Swift.
  21. Eagles - Henry Ruggs; WR, Alabama: The fastest WR in the draft will help an Eagles team that really became thin late in the season and hurt their chances of making a deep postseason run.
  22. Vikings - K'Lavon Chasson; DE, LSU: Everson Griffen won't be returning, so now, if the Vikings want to be the top team they will need to find players that can help recreate what he brought them.
  23. Patriots - Jake Fromm; QB, Georgia: The Tom Brady era is over so now the question becomes who will be the new starter for New England? Jake Fromm had an interesting college career, and may be just what the Patriots want in their new QB, someone who can read defenses well and has a solid arm.
  24. Saints - Jalen Reager; WR, TCU: Outside of Michael Thomas, there isn't a real threat when facing the Saints passing game. If they want to get Drew Brees one last Super Bowl run, they need weapons.
  25. Vikings - Ross Blacklock; DT, TCU: With Linval Joseph gone, the Vikings need to find that solid force to put in the middle of an already solid D-Line.
  26. Dolphins (from Texans) - Jonathan Taylor; RB, Wisconsin: Kenyan Drake didn't work out for Miami, so now they need to find their next workhouse back. Thankfully they can take the nest RB in the draft in Jonathan Taylor.
  27. Seahawks - Llyod Cushenberry; C, LSU: The Seahawks need help on the inside of their O-Line and the best available at this spot is Cushenberry.
  28. Ravens - AJ Epenesa; LB, Iowa: A solid pass rusher who can also play some decent pass coverage, something the Ravens need to make a deep run into the playoffs.
  29. Titans - Yetur Gross-Matos; DE, Penn State: The Titans questionably traded away their best pass rusher in Jurrell Casey so that now becomes a position of need for the runner up in the AFC.
  30. Packers - Justin Jefferson; WR, LSU: Jefferson broke out last year helping Burrow become the best passer in college, and maybe is what Aaron Rodgers needs to return to Top Tier status.
  31. 49ers - Laviska Shenault; WR, Colorado: If the 49ers want to get their money's worth for Jimmy Garrappolo, they need to do a better job at getting him weapons to throw to.
  32. Chiefs - AJ Terrell; : The Chiefs seem to have the perfect team, but could still use help on the secondary. Terrell has a solid build to be a guy KC needs to help repeat as champs.
  33. Bengals - Shane Lemieux; OG, Oregon: The Bengals lost 2 interior lineman and will need to find a way to replace them to protect whoever they decide will be their franchise QB the next couple of years.
  34. Colts (from Redskins) - Jordan Love; QB, Utah State: Maybe the most questionable QB in the draft in terms of where he will be selected. If he is available by the time the Colts are picking here, look for them to draft him and learn under Phillip Rivers.
  35. Lions - Raekwon Davis; DT, Alabama: The Lions couldn't hold onto leads late in the game mainly because they couldn't get to the opposing team's QB. If they want this to change, they will need to fix that quickly.
  36. Giants - Antoine Winfield Jr.; S, Minnesota: Winfield may be the ball hawking safety the Giants have been looking for since they lost Landon Collins a few years ago
  37. Detroit Lions (via LAC) - Erza Cleveland, OT, Boise State: The Lions' offensive line has lost some key pieces the last few seasons, and regardless of who is at quarterback, it's a position that needs upgrading.
  38. Panthers - Jon Greenard; LB, Florida: The Panthers got the Brian Burns pick right, but they still need a solid player that can rush from the opposite side of the ball.
  39. Dolphins - Justin Madubuke; DT, Texas A&M: A solid D-Lineman who can play inside, but can also move outside at times. Either way, he's someone the Dolphins would watch for.
  40. Texans (from Cardinals) - Noah Igbinoghone; CB, Auburn: The Texans didn't truly address this need despite some big names in free agency, but Igbinoghone is a guy they can draft and rely on to make big plays when needed.
  41. Browns - Solomon Kindley; OG, Georgia: The Browns made a terrible mistake by trading away Kevin Zietler who was their best O-Lineman, but maybe a player like Kindley can help fans forget that trade.
  42. Jaguars - Isaiah Wilson, OT, Gerogia: Wilson has that potential to be a solid tackle in the NFL and help the Jags in the passing game so they don't continue looking for a new QB.
  43. Bears (from Raiders) - Logan Stenberg; OG, Kentucky: With Kyle Long retiring, the Bears have a big hole to full at the RG position. Stenberg helped block for some solid backs at Kentucky and maybe is just what the Bears need to help the run game return to Chicago.
  44. Colts - JK Dobbins; RB, OSU: While they do have a solid run game in Marlon Mack, it wouldn't huts to have another great back like Dobbins to help the offense.
  45. Buccaneers - Cam Akers; RB, FSU: Ronald Jones needs to prove he can be the future back in Tampa even more now that Brady is in at QB. It wouldn't hurt to draft some competition to help boost that energy he needs to do that.
  46. Broncos - Chase Claypool; WR, Notre Dame: The Broncos found their franchise QB in Drew Lock, now they'll need to find him some weapons, and that's where speedy receiver Claypool comes in.
  47. Falcons - Zach Burns; LB, Wisconsin: Deion Jones has really all Atlanta has had at the coverage LB position the last couple of years. If they expect the defense to improve, that's an area they must look at.
  48. Jets - Jake Hanson; C, Oregon: The Jets did a nice job improving their O-Line in free agency, but I still don't see any real long term answers.
  49. Steelers - Bradley Anae; DE, Utah: Maybe the most dominating player in this year's Senior Bowl. Anae brings that quick pass rushing type of linebacker to a team that could use a player like him.
  50. Bears - Cameron Dantzler; CB, Mississippi State: The Bears don't have a true cornerback 2, but taking a guy like Dantzler who very well could be a first round pick can change that.
  51. Cowboys - Trevon Diggs; CB, Alabama: Dint be surprised if Dallas uses its first 2 or 3 picks to rebuild their secondary.
  52. Rams - Tyler Biadasz; C, Wisconsin: The Rams O-Line took a major step back in 2019 compared to 2018 and was the biggest reason for their failure. If they don't make moves soon, it will stay that way.
  53. Eagles - Terrence Steele; OT, Texas Tech: With Jason Peters likely not returning in 2020 the Eagles need to find that new LT to protect Carson Wentz the next couple of years. Steele could very well be a steal in this spot.
  54. Bills - Josh Jones; OT, Houston: The Bills don't really have that long term answer on the O-Line despite the talent. Jones will need time though to get a bit stronger and use to the speed of an NFL defense, but shouldn't take that long.
  55. Ravens (from Falcons) - Damon Arnette; CB, OSU: There's no question Damon has first round talent, the only reason he may fall is because of the character issues he had in college.
  56. Dolphins (from Saints) - Danny Holmes; CB, UCLA: There really isn't a bad pick for the Dolphins here as they look to improve their defense.
  57. Texans - Brandon Aiyuk; WR, Arizona State: I would've gone O-Line here for Houston, but they questionably traded away their best WR in DeAndre Hopkins so now that becomes their biggest need.
  58. Vikings - Kenny Willekes; DE, MSU: Everson Griffen won't be coming back to Minnesota, so now the Vikings need to find a player that can replace the 8.5 sacks he gave them last year and what he might've been able to bring back.
  59. Seahawks - Tega Wanogha; OT, Auburn: The biggest question every year is will the Seahawks make upgrades to the O-Line to protect Russell Wilson from running for his life?
  60. Raven - Jordyn Brooks; LB, Texas Tech: I think Brooks is just what the Ravens have been looking for when trying to find a replacement for the hole that was made when they lost CJ Mosley to free agency last year.
  61. Titans - Tee Higgins; WR, Clemson: Higgins has the built of a first round WR, but the question surrounding him is can he not be bullied by bigger, stronger corners in the NFL vs College?
  62. Packers - Albert Okwuegbunam; TE, Missouri: The Paxkers lost Jimmy Graham to free agency, but they get a younger/better version of him in Okwuegbunam. I think he has the potential to be one of the best value picks in this draft regardless of who drafts him.
  63. Chiefs (from 49ers) - Julian Okwara; DE, Notee Dame: No one knows what Chris Jones future holds, regardless Okwara would fit perfect for them.
  64. Seahawks (from Chiefs) - Clyde Edwards-Helaire; RB, LSU: Marshawn Lynch can't play forever and Seattle hasn't had a solid run game since he left the first time a couple years ago.
  65. Bengals - Troy Dye; LB, Oregon: A great linebacker who has excellent coverage skills could be what Cincy needs in a leader for the defense.
  66. Redskins - James Lynch; DT, Baylor: The Redskins spending early picks on pass rushers isn't a bad thing especially if they don't like anyone for this draft position.
  67. Lions - Jalen Hurts; QB, Oklahoma: Matthew Stafford is getting up there in age and hasn't changed Lions history that much and doesn't have much time left. Jalen has grown as a passer from his time at Alabama and Oklahoma while still having great speed.
  68. Jets (from Giants) - Terrell Lewis; LB, Alabama: The Jets lack that big name pass rusher, but Lewis despite an ACL injury in 2018 can be that big name the Jets are looking for.
  69. Panthers - Kyle Dugger; S, Lenoir-Rhyne: Watching this guys highlights even though he's going up against lesser talent, may be the best coverage safety in the draft thanks to his great speed and field vision.
  70. Dolphins - Gabriel Ravis; WR, UCF: Whoever ends up playing QB for Miami, he's going to need guys to throw the ball to and make plays.
  71. Chargers - Thaddeus Moss; TE, LSU: While they did franchise tag TE Hunter Henry, he has had a few injury problems so they may want to be in a position to have a solid TE. When you are the son of Randy Moss, you have great athleticism.
  72. Cardinals - Cole Kmet; TE, Notre Dame: Cardinals seem to be a TE away from having a complete offense so look for them at this point to be looking to draft one.
  73. Jaguars - KJ Hill; WR, OSU: Solid route running, nice hands, and catching skills could make him a steal in the draft. It won't make the Jags playoff contenders, but it's a good start towards the rebuild.
  74. Browns - Anfernee Jennings; LB, Alabama: Solid coverage skills, but also a nightmare for lineman trying to block him.
  75. Colts - Colby Parkinson; TE, Stanford: Eric Ebron is gone so now the Colts are in the market for one. Parkinson could be a solid option for that.
  76. Buccaneers - Matt Peart; OT, UCONN: While they already took a tackle early, the Bucs need to make sure they can protect Brady as much as possible.
  77. Broncos - Jacobs Phillips; LB, LSU: The Broncos got guys that can rush the passer, now they need guys that can drop back into coverage.
  78. Falcons - Zach Moss; RB, Utah: The Falcons got Todd Gurley, but that may not be enough to get their running game to take off that ranked close to the bottom last year.
  79. Jets - Kristin Fulton; CB, LSU: The Trumaine Johnson experiment didn't work that well, but they may have more success with Fulton.
  80. Raiders - Michael Pittman Jr.; WR, USC: The Raiders leading receiver last year was their TE. For the offense to have success, they need more outside threats.
  81. Raiders (from Bears) - Jordan Fuller; S, OSU: The secondary could be better, this draft thankfully has a lot of talent to pick from though.
  82. Cowboys - Jacob Eason; QB, Washington: Until the Cowboys give Dak a long term deal, I will believe they don't want Dak as their franchise QB. Eason has about the same skills that Dak possesses but with a better arm.
  83. Broncos (from Steelers) - Ben Bredeson; G, Michigan: Broncos need help on the interior of the offensive line. Bredeson has some nice quickness it takes to be an NFL lineman.
  84. Rams - AJ Dillon; RB, Boston College: The Rams have an opening at the running back position, the good news though is Dillon may just be the right guy to fill the void.
  85. Eagles - Lynn Bowden; WR, Kentucky: The more talent at the position the Eagles have, the better their chances of having a deep core come playoff time.
  86. Bills - KJ Hamler; WR, Penn State: The more weapons Buffalo gets, the better their chances of being the team to beat in their division.
  87. Patriots - Neville Gallimore; DT, Oklahoma: The Patriots always enjoy to have that big force up the middle to help shut down opposing run games.
  88. Saints - Troy Pride; CB, Notre Dame: Eli Apple is gone, so now the Saints need to start looking for who his replacement will be.
  89. Vikings - Antonio Gandy-Golden; WR, Liberty: The Vikings traded away Stephon Diggs and got a nice return for him, but it still leaves them with out a WR2 for Cousins to throw to.
  90. Texans - Reggie Robinson; CB, Tulsa: The Texans need to improve the secondary after it got exposed twice in the playoffs, which will obviously hold them back from reaching their goal.
  91. Raiders (from Seahawks) - Bryce Hall; CB, Virginia: A corner who has solid build for playing as a slot corner, but he needs to work on his coverage skills if he wants to have a solid career.
  92. Ravens - Levi Onwzurike; DT, Washington: Having the strong, big guy to fill up the middle of an already talented defense could make it very hard to more the ball on the Ravens.
  93. Titans - Josh Metellus; S, Michigan: There could be a sense that the Titans want to upgrade the safety position weather it's this year or next year and Metellus could be a guy they have their eye on when that time comes.
  94. Packers - Nate Stanley; QB, Iowa: It wouldn't be the first time the Packers draft their next QB while their current one still has a couple of years left in the tank. Stanley had a very decent career in Iowa, but I think he has was it takes to be a starting QB in the league.
  95. Broncos (from 49ers) - Lucas Niang; OT, TCU: Garrett Bolles hasn't lived up the the excitement when he was drafted in the first round as he's gotten hurt and commits too many penalties.
  96. Chiefs - KJ Osborn; WR, Miami: This is one guy I've enjoyed watching the last 3 years, and I think he has the potential to be a solid WR, and having balls thrown to him by Patrick Mahomes could make that happen.
  97. Browns (from Texans) - Willie Gay Jr.; LB, Mississippi State: A productive linebacker that will had depth to the Browns roster.
  98. Patriots - Adam Trautman; TE, Dayton: The TE has been the focal point of the Patriots offense, but last year with no threat to that position, the offense wasn't as scary as it was in the past.
  99. Giants - Collin Johnson; WR, Texas: At 6'6", Johnson has the height and athleticism to be a standout receiver for years to come in the league.
  100. Patriots - Jonah Jackson; OG, OSU: If the patriots want their next QB to have somewhat of the success Brady had, they need to make sure he his protected at all cost.
  101. Seahawks - James Morgan; QB, FIU: While Wilson isn't going anywhere for a while, Seattle doesn't really have a decent backup behind him if he were to get hurt. Morgan has been making a name for him self in the East-West game and during workouts for teams.
  102. Steelers - Shea Latterson; QB, Michigan: While Patterson is not yet ready to be apt he starting QB of an NFL team yet, learning under Ben Roethlisberger, who maybe has 2-3 years left in the league, will help him develop to be ready to take over the job when the time comes.
  103. Eagles - Essang Bassey; CB, Wake Forest: Like the WR position on offense, corner is where the Eagles are really thin on defense and could use one of their first few picks to grab one of these young guys to improve the need.
  104. Steelers - Marcus Norman; OT, South Florida: The Steelers have a lot of veterans on the O-Line, so they need to start looking for the younger guys when the time comes to need them.
  105. Vikings - Robert Hunt; OT, Louisiana-Lafayette: A position the Vikings didn't quite address in free agency so will now need to look in the draft to upgrade this position.
  106. Ravens - Lamichal Perine; RB, Florida: Mark Ingram is not getting any younger despite having an excellent first year in Baltimore, but having a younger back to pair with him may keep him in the league for an extra 3 years possibly.
