Today, we got our first look at the coveted legends program in Madden Ultimate Team 23. EA released 8 legends, 4 offensive, and 4 defensive for the first release. Going forward, the Legends program will likely host 2 new players per week, releasing every Saturday for the considerable future.

Solos

Play each Legend’s solo challenges to earn their power up. You will also earn Legends tokens along the way. Additionally, you will get to choose 81 OVR Boom Legend versions each week to keep for your own team! After completion of the Week 1 Solos, you will receive a pack where you can choose 4 of the 8 81 OVR Boom Legend versions!

Power Ups and Discounted Abilities

While Power Ups are limited in Madden 23, they still exist in the game and for certain programs, including the Legends one. You can earn each Legend’s power up from their solo challenges, and upgrade them to the maximum level using the player’s 3 Boom versions (81, 83, and 85 OVR), the player's Season version (87 OVR), and the full Boss Legend version (89). All 85, 87, and 89 Legend items have unique discounted abilities, and once you add the item to the power up, it appears there as well. Legend Power Ups will also have unique card art as an option when fully powered up.
