We are excited to announce that we are teaming up with America’s Navy to host our very first Pro-Am Madden tournament. The tournament will feature two teams, each led by a member of America’s Navy esports Goats & Glory team. Each team will also have two professional Madden players and two NFL athletes. The winning team will split the event’s $10,000 prize pool!
Here is what you need to know to tune in:
The tournament’s format is based on Madden “crew v. crew” events. Each competitor will match up against someone from the opposing team such that NFL athletes are playing against NFL athletes, Madden pros are playing against Madden pros, and finally, the team captains will face off against each other. Instead of a straight best of five series, the outcome of the first four match-ups will create a points advantage for the final game between the two captains. The outcome of the final match, with the points advantage applied, will determine the overall winner of the event.
The four professional Madden players participating in this Pro-Am tournament are:
Keep an eye on Muthead’s Twitter over the next week for the announcements on which NFL athletes will be joining the Madden pros and America’s Navy team captains for this event.
Over the next two weeks, both team captains will be joining us for the Friday Night Football pregame shows. They will first draft their teams of Madden pros and NFL athletes, and then draft which NFL teams they will be able to use in the tournament. Join us starting at 7:30 PM ET on Friday nights on twitch.tv/mutheadtv so that you don’t miss any of the action.
We hope to see you in Twitch chat!
