Probably somewhere near the intersection of "have a million coins" and "need a punter".  Punter and punt returner should be two of the last positions you upgrade, but once you're down to those two, what does it matter what you spend coins on? Not to mention, if you need a KR or K, getting and exchanging a cheaper P or PR is a good way to go.
