I've been playing madden mobile for years. But had quit for a while. Decided to start back up again last month. I've got to say, this is the greediest I've ever seen EA. Intentionally frustrating game mechanics are implemented to force you spend in order to keep up with the Jones's. I usually get the field pass, but damn. I can't justify spending any money on this game. It all went downhill when they introduced Overdrive Mode. SB week is usually one of the most fun promos in the past. Plenty of opportunity for f2p and p2w. Now, p2w is dwarfed by whales who spend an obscene amount of money. I'm very close to quitting madden mobile again. Some idiot here will say... Too bad, nobody is forcing you to play.. And to their defense they're right. Nobody is forcing me to play, but that's still a shitty justificiton as to why we have to tolerate this terrible game. It's the only NFL licensed mobile game. We have opinions and concerns. It's our very right to let EA know they suck at customer satisfaction. The strategies they implement now, are great for short term monetary income. Especially during a pandemic where mobile gaming is rising. But in the long term. For me. The problem is with power. At even power, these plays are alright. At a power disadvantage. Your defense goes full stupid. Never go full stupid. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it. Sad.

I run all the cover zero blitz variations out of Nickel and Dime. I want to get to the QB as fast as possible and end the drive.

You have several options. 1. Use a ton of HB reducers. Hope for the best Max your entire Dline. if the can penetrate hard and fast. The HB can be stuffed in the backfield. Max you MLB/LBs. If they can pursue fast and avoid blockers. They can shut down the play. Now... Here's the cheaper option. You can run these play calls. Cover 1 variations. Everyone is manned up. Sweeps usually kill zones like cover 3 or cover 4 since the sweep play will give the blockers a numbers advantage against defenders. Cover 2 zone or cover 2 zone press. The CB has a huge responsibility of beating his block and making a play. Even if he doesn't beat his block. He can take up space and make sure the HB doesn't hit the edge, thus funneling the HB into oncoming tacklers.

The bigger the better. Most people in LvL and Arena run a ton of cover 3. Your margin for error for hitting the seams against cover 3 are a little bit higher with a bigger target to throw the ball to. But I do agree how smaller WRs are superior navigating the holes between zones and are less likely to get stuck. In conclusion. It's your personnel preference. Do you want a shifty agile slot WR? Or do you want a big bodied jump ball guy who can catch in traffic?

Question. How are you using him? Are you calling a lot of cover 2? Cover 3? Cover 4? Making him play man defense?

He's great. Too big for DBs. Too fast for LBs. Great at catching balls over the middle. Also, he isn't affected by WR reducers.
