It’s even worse if you took last year off (because of how bad the game got) and are checking it out again this year, but without the benefit of high level players having carried over. It is not possible to get even a single iconic in these promos.

For sure. I definitely get nostalgic for previous iterations of the game when I come back and glance at the MH forums … but I also receive confirmation that I made the right choice in quitting early in the fall!
