If the other player isn’t being a dick, then I can’t see for the life of me why anyone would object to someone playing out the game. It is funny to me how many times I have seen the same player on these forums who tell people who are asking for help to “get good” and at the same time get riled when people don’t quit.   Anyone that sticks around is almost certainly trying to learn.   I mean if you can’t enjoy just playing why are you playing at all, win or lose? I blame the rewards mentality where people are so focussed on getting their wins they have no conception of having fun.   As for dragging the game out deliberately, taking needless timeouts - that is dumb. I have one rule. I play the game normally start to finish. The only time I drag things out a bit, is if I get the show-boat guys. I don’t really care if someone beats me really. I just take the view if you are going to be rude to me, then I’ll be rude back. But even then, all I do is take my time to call my plays.

The I  Form stretch has been horrible for sure. But in the case I mentioned, I don’t think that can actually happen, by rule, in a football game. Am I wrong?

Yeah I have the same issue. I will be away in Germany. No way I can take the console, as my son would be miserable for ten days. I am going to miss one weekend.   The inane comments about EA not catering to you, are just the usual trolling. I think that point the OP is making is not that EA should cater to him personally, but that they should recognize that a significant number of even their more-than-casual player base will often have to miss one weekend in ten, and that they ought to think about it.   I have been playing MUT for five years now, and Madden for much longer. I generally try to stay upbeat, but man as soon as I played the beta, I was worried, it just feels like the same game, with so many of the same fundamental issues that make no sense in a football context. They papered over some of the cracks for sure, but I see enough, and have listened to some of blogs done by the likes of Rex, to believe that once the player ratings get high, the game will break down more and more. I have played way less this year, and might well be out before the season starts at this rate. I have been NMS out of principle for the last few years, and if you fall behind on the grind the game becomes so hard, without money.

Clearly one of the issues is that half the community thinks that this will be dealt with one way, and the other half think differently. Regardless of who is right that is clearly an issue. Seriously, the game should clearly point you to information on how it works, not hope that some independent forum will do it for you.    I find it vaguely ridiculous that we basically don’t know how the game works in many ways without experimentation. I play a lot of board games, if I bought one with a rulebook that only explained half the rules I’d be furious. Why do we accept not having information on how basic game elements work?

Same issue here. I have to call every play twice since the patch, and whenever I hot route there is no way to get the camera to pan back in without waiting, which there is not always time to do. They already made the game significantly harder for older players, and the zoom out just adds to the issues of less visual acuity than I had 35 years ago!
