Every situation different and every team is different. I run 3-4 with massive pass rush and press corners. If I am blitzing using pinch buck 0, I user the MLB thats not blitzing. Why, anyone that knows I am blitzing will most likely do crossing pattern ( because thats how you beat pinch buck 0) and as the MLB user you can get picks from them rushing the throw. If I am doing anything else I user the SS and bring him up close to stop any stretches but if I see no stretch I starting running him to cover receivers that are breaking open. Is it perfect no but if you play casually like me it works a lot and I am not stressing about not knowing every formation and plays. I don't know if this will work for everyone but it work for my team. Moving to learn more big dime because that's been working for me to stop more scramble QB than 3-4.

So I run a 3-4D NYG playbook mostly just use cover 2 man to man 80% of the time. User SS safety pull him up and if you feel/see a run bring him in to close the side gaps. On the opposite side we have 2 run stopper AT  RE and ROLB  that usually closes the opposite side but Ai is only good enough to stop 50%  of the runs on none user side.   The 3-4 bear which is like 3-4 version of 46 defense stops the run great but it is not forgiving on missed tackles. There are some youtube videoes that explain how to use it.   I watched a few video but when it comes down to it. Once your team is good  everything else comes after. What I mean is I tried to force my old team to do what I wanted 46 def and 4-3. Then Brees came out and I dedicated to Saints/Ravens Team after I sold my old players and got the new ones I tested playbooks and  3-4 just fit. Then user switched from LB to SS was so much better. SS is 3x faster and the sweep/strech is where the youtube cheesers do you know its coming as soon as they kick to the FB.
