Check it yourself using their profit page. If they make lots of money it's successful. If they don't it's not successful. Simple as that. Even if most of their fanbase hated it but they still spent money anyways, somebody did something right. Not saying that's the case here but EA is a business bottom line. Their goal is to make money. If you mean their financial disclosure reports, those are only quarterly, and don't itemize by product --> http://investor.ea.com/releases.cfm?ReleasesType=Earnings

Will they be inforced in the coming weeks or months ? This is not at all to be rude, just to drop knowledge; the word is "enforced," and you use that word when it comes to rules, such as, "Will the rules be enforced?" I think the word you meant was "implemented," meaning put into place. It's not like we don't know what the complaints are, man. Mr. Price, just a question: is Overdrive's fantasy-based scoring a strategic intention to pull in new, younger users? When do you think you'll have the data to know whether this move is furthering or hurting the Mobile profile?

Yes, there has been an incredible amount of negative feedback about Overdrive on Muthead, which some have attributed to the fact that Muthead users are a bunch of whining complainers. While every community has its negative folks, the reaction to Overdrive is not just a Muthead phenomenon. Witness the responses @EAMaddenMobile is getting to its most recent tweet on fixing the Auction House. The responses are near unanimous. Attached below are a few choice examples. And the point here isn't to convince EA to change things -- they know they're gunning to capture a new audience. The point is that Muthead is reflecting what most former players are feeling, rather than being a special place full of complainers. Peace.

Cheers to everyone who gave me positive responses. But sad so many feel the same way.

Honestly, I've been saying for years that season should be improved and should be the core part of the game. It clearly hasn't been in a long time, the fact you could easily win each game by over 100 points the last couple of years, showed that EA didn't care to make it challenging for people. I don't get the sense at all that the core Madden players, the people who spend real money on the game, were playing more than the bare minimum amount of season mode in recent years. I think this is why many were surprised to see the outrage that Season Mode was gone -- it was boring and lacked any challenge for core users since developers had largely ignored it. Yet, despite Season Mode's lack of challenge, people are clamoring for it. And that clamoring represents their desire to just play football in my view. I agree with you that Season Mode could have easily been developed and made into a very cool, core part of the game.

You missed the poor design, extreme lag, almost no ways to make coins, Hail Mary Hero gameplay, confusing sets, did I miss anything else? It's not about Football it's about a lackluster game experience, people around the world(not just the US) have issues with the game. You overlooked everything I typed above. I'm not saying there aren't other issues -- obviously there are, as there were with all of the previous MM builds. My position here is that at its core, Overdrive as the primary mode of play is the underlying issue and problem people are emotionally reacting to as football fans, even those who love to play fantasy football. Despite all the glitches and new currencies, I personally would return if there was a parallel h2h experience like in MM18 that I could choose to play instead of Overdrive, as was suggested above. Some would choose Overdrive with captains, others h2h with gameplans. But I don't see that happening.

Overdrive would be a fun component, maybe used as the mode for (possibly forthcoming weekend tourneys), but it should not be the 100% sole focus of the game. This. And I also am under no illusions that things are changing. Overdrive is the new MM this year, period. I'm not trying to change the developers' minds, just explaining why I and others won't be playing it, and why the reaction has been so immediate.

"Loved the simplicity of [the] game" I agree with you totally. Though I'd also argue that one of the reasons I loved MM was because it allowed me to also engage in the complexity of playing football. I could strategize matchups, build thoughtful drives based on down, distance and previous calls, and set my defense for my opponent. None of that is simple if done well, but MM gave me the "simplicity" of football, not a strange creation that looks kind of like football. The game was so simple it allowed me to be complex. Now it's so complex I can only play simply. Make sense?

Football in the United States is overwhelmingly the most popular sport to watch and play. In fact, according to Gallup in 2017, a massive 37% of Americans said football was their favorite sport to watch, followed by basketball (only 14%) and baseball (a mere 9%). This popularity alone explains why Madden has been such a hit for so long in the EA portfolio -- people love FOOTBALL. And for all its faults, Madden Mobile gave us football gameplay for many years. Whether in leagues or H2H or Season, players were able to build teams and watch those teams mirror what they love to see on Saturdays and Sundays -- American football, with players they love mirroring what they see, or hope to see, in real life. (I know that's been true for me -- I've played MM for 4 years now, but I won't be playing this year. And yes, this is my first post, despite loving Muthead.)
