Agree with this entirely. Really annoyed me when I realised what they'd done. However, unless you want them to do what they did last year even earlier than they did last year (i.e. uncap everything and let you get to 125 OVR) they had to do something to limit the boosts and keep you interested in TOTY.   I expect TOTY to be 97/98s that boost up to 99/100+. Hopefully finally with some team wide boosts. Personally think they will uncap everything again with the Easter promo.

Nice thread to assist people with the Vertical basics. Personally love Vertical and being playing it in all aspects of the game since beginning of October.   I can attest to the comment about people dropping off Overdrive mode though. I personally haven't played it properly since start of UF. A lot of the people who were hammering it at start of season have either sacked it off or are preferring to setup their own tournaments now and to be honest it is so much more enjoyable than OD. It's some fun but the reward hasn't been worth the grind since UF, it's a complete time sink.   If EA really want to get people back into playing OD mode they should introduce 98 rewards with team wide boosts for top 100 - that would really bring the competitive edge back.

Yes, your not wrong. I’m comfortable in knowing I can play the playbook and beat a majority and give the rest of last years top 20 or so a run for their money, if everyone was doing that. However doing that right now will get you beat by those who are spamming plays - which despite what EA have said is possible with very little resistance from the defence.   I aren’t going to run the risk of losing 6k when I only gain 2k from a win so I’ll do what my opposition is doing - up until today that was the only way to make HoF.   Know that I’ve suggested a frequency counter or actual defence AI adjustment so you can’t run back to back plays - if that happens it will quickly sort those that can and those that can’t play out. For now though I’ll do what the game allows, which I do not consider an exploit, nor do I consider that it makes me part of the problem - the problem is EAs development and one I hope they address like everyone else.

HoF is currently the same as before, +2,000 for a win and -6,000 for a loss.

No adjustments have been made to HoF. A win will net you +2,000 and a loss -6,000....   Literaly just tested it now by purposely losing.   Is this being addressed?

That's not what it says in the first post. In the "what we know" list it says MC and coins stays.    This is a pretty big thing and needs to be clarified.

It's not actually 6 weeks it around 10 weeks. That is approximately 20% of the season left which is not an insignificant period.   Well that's what I'm thinking anyway given the twitter announcement yesterday that next season there will be no MM on Amazon platforms, but they can still play on them up to 11th August. That would suggest that's about the date for MM19 release.
