My hot sports opinion is that there are a few realities here. 1) people that spend money because madden = life. They aren’t in a relationship, they don’t have kids, this is what they choose to spend their money on, but they are pretty good at the game and compete at an elite level with an elite team. 2) people that spend money because they have so much of it or have such horrible spending habits they do it for immediate gratification. This is the guy that throws the deep ball to his recently purchased top-tier WR every time hoping that +3 speed advantage gives him an edge. He beats most average players and some good players with this strategy but constantly has to update his team to keep his edge. This is the same guy that buys the newest Vick or Lamar and exploits a speed advantage with no real understanding of how football is played. I think this is the guy most people hate. 3) the player that spends money from time to time because madden is a hobby and just like photography, fishing, or playing guitar, there is a cost associated with progressing in a hobby. 4) NMS - legit player that is against spending money based on principles, maybe they grew up gaming in the 90s and 2000s where games cost what they cost and that’s it. Pretty good at the game, can play with #3 above, likely has friends that are #1, but refuses to play with anyone that’s a #2. 5) NMS - annoying player that thinks he’s better than everyone with his 81 overall team in October because he’s NMS and everyone else pays to win. No matter who he loses to #1 - #4 the only reason for the loss is money spent and he’s the best in the world on regs. That’s my hot sport’s opinion… feel free to agree or disagree.

Never too late. When madden started, the best cards were 87-89 and went for 300k+ someone could have dropped $500 and had a 89-90 overall team. Today, you can play solo challenges, comp pass with solo battles etc and you will get free 93-94-95 cards pretty easy. You won’t be able to compete with top level players/teams unless madden decides to balance teams, but you will have an easy time putting together a 90 overall squad. Keep in mind you can get 2x platinum quick sells every week for like $10 and you will be guaranteed like 20k coins at a minimum and up to like 300k 300k can probably help you build a 90 overall team, if not better. Someone like me that’s been playing since August, I have a 95/95 Cowboys theme team.

I like doing this to anyone that gets on the Mike and talks trash, winning or losing. I try to make it as painful as possible. In the MCS ladder last week an eagles fan was trying to talk trash about my team and saying I sucked while it’s 37-3 and he scored on the first drive of the game. Especially as the window to play the last game gets close and I am already at my win threshold. Homie had 3 games left to play to qualify but he didn’t get a chance. Spike the ball 3x and then punt. Get an INT and repeat.

For someone that claims to know anything about this game you sure do have a hard time reading. Get good kid.

Yeah. I get the numbers game. It’s just they keep usering a MLB and putting the other on a curl flat or something so they are only blitzing 4 but they are all in like a weird alignment. As soon as I hand the ball it’s blockshed city. If I don’t hand the ball off it’s two edge threats eating my QBs ass out. Been playing madden since 2002 and never seen anything quite like it. It’s like a nano blitz that has inside stuff and outside stuff so you can’t run it at all. They are in nickel or dime and you can’t fb dive out of goal line. 3 down linemen and they double team tackle the fb for a 4 yard loss.

Over storm brave has been in the game for longer than you have been alive. It’s never been that glitchy. If this is my first time playing the game how would I have a 92 overall team and how did I win 13 games in Champions last week. Y’all are worse than Reddit hivemind.

That is what is so baffling to me. I have won 5 super bowls, dozens of playoff games, 12-15 wins minimum each week and I have never used edge protector. They are running an over storm brave and all of the linebackers and defensive linemen get instant shed so I can’t run the ball for even a yard forward and I don’t have enough time to let a receiver take 4 steps to get open since they are pressed. There is a new glitch out today and it’s BAD. Someone broke the game on PS5

Honestly. I would have had advice for you last week but it appears someone figured out a very Hebrew way of manipulating man blitz defense to make it nearly impossible to do anything.
