I often don't agree with Dreverse, but this an excellent point. It's a time-lagged bait and switch.

I am not certain of this at all - but I think they might be calculating the impact on the different in overalls, rather than in coins or training. So if you had 20 lower presents for which the par is (for examples sake) 84, and you got on 85s, they'd say you were 20 up. If you also had 4 higher presents for which the par was 95 and you pulled an average of 92, you'd be 12 down on those, but 8 up overall. Obviously, if this is correct - it's a nonsense, an extra 1 overall is generally worth a lot more on higher cards than it is on lower cards, but it is the kind of general and applyable calculation I could see EA making on the hoof.

Because he was a free agent at the point EA decided the gold and elite cards. Same is true of Clowney (although he subsequently got an MF card), same was true of Sherman last year. One would think they will add him as a team builder or similar at some point.
