Underrated? Meh. He was always talked about as one of the best backs in the league, but he never lived up to the early career hype. As a starter, he never topped more than 4.4YPC in a single season. There are 75 players that averaged at least that for their CAREER. He had the tools to be an all-time great, but that "mean running" style you cited - and his penchant to be a standup style runner - really killed the opportunity. He was a MONSTER in 2006. 1500+ rushing yards, 90 receptions...hell, his 2334 yards from scrimmage ranks 7th all-time and puts him with some of the best multi-purpose backs of all time like Faulk, Tomlinson, McCaffrey, etc. Then the rest of his career, he averaged less than 40 catches per season. From 16 TD's in 2006, to never getting more than 8 in a season. He added in one more very good season in 2009, and then a bunch of "meh" seasons for the rest of his career. When he put it all together in 2006, he was awesome to watch. But he was never the same back after all those touches. So...nah, I don't think he was underrated.

"Middle Linebackers are useless in this game!!1!" Opponent runs every play against soft ass 3-3-5 meta defense. Safeties playing sub LB's get trucked 50 times a game. "People only run in this game!!! Whyyyyyyy?!?!" My Sam Mills and Patrick Queen cards have zero issues covering the middle of the field against the pass, are fast enough to stick with RB's on stretches, and can shed linemen on inside runs. That goes double if you play squads. Yes, if you run the same glitchy man-blitz on defense every play, your LB will get roasted. So, like...don't do that. But dont complain that people only run in this game...and then roll out speed-rushing linebackers, defensive ends at nose tackle, and safeties at linebacker.
