What I don’t understand about this game is that he need to program randomness. Over throw a guy that open by 10yards and then turn around on defense and a guy throws right to your defender and he does nothing. Why does this have to be a thing in madden? Just make a game that is based in fundamentals and what you see should be what plays out. Make risk versus reward a real thing. It’s been done in the past, just do it EA.

Havnt you guys ever noticed that this happens every year. They continuously patch the game and around January it magically turns into the same old madden. They listen to complaints and adjust the game by statistic. However, the statistics is just a data pool, never any homework on the the defensive alignments and fits are interacting with the offensive formation. Just lazy and getting through another money grab year.

I ve posted on this topic already, but madden 19 was a decent game until the October patch in 2018. After that it regressively got worse each week. Same pattern we see with 20. Madden 20 is seriously broken on defense. Any football guy who understands spill, force, alley is appalled by what’s being sold as a football game to the public. If you aren’t aware of what this is, then you really don’t understand how bad this game is.

19 was the worst. It frankly couldn’t be played using football concepts. I’d put 18-20 a close second.

Quote from cowlip >> Too soft for Madden. Find an online version of chutes and ladders buddy. They cant blitz you there. I guess I am old school but i love playing against legit strategies. As long as there is a counter, I love facing it. The challenge is what makes it rewarding. I havent faced anything without a counter in this Madden. Yes, some aspects lack balance. I wish those things would be corrected, but overall, this is a fun game to play for me. I can stop the run and defeat blitzes against 95% of the competition. It is this type of crying that leads EA to changing the game and breaking it. Yes

The 46 under and bear fronts are really designed to stop formations with 21 and 22 personnel, some 12 and 13 as well. The 46 normal is a solid front but the way madden is programmed this year, combo blocks aren’t lasting all that long and each block is one on one. The defensive fronts do not have leverage with the run blocking being better than block shed. They are not currently set to a 1:1ratio. This means most blocking taking place is able to get a hat on a hat. You really have to work on defense to get the correct front to fit each offensive formation. Staying in one front or personnel group is very difficult to do with any type of consistency. Also, the 46 defense is primarily a MOFC coverage scheme with little ability to really match much of today’s modern pass concepts. It’s easy to exploit by a good player.

This is a quick answer to a loaded question really. odd front- if you crash the D line in you create an eagle front. If you have the right attributes you NT can 2 gap the A gap. This can free up a backer from having a gap responsibility. Under front- traditionally can leverage the end of the offensive formation by always having a tamdom on each side of the end guy.it puts 5 on the LOS. Great for 21 and 22 personnel. Natural overload on offense right side. Even front- this fits well into 12 personnel with only one RB. Over front- Aligns well to twins from 21 or 12. Similar to being opposite of under in the 34. Not true for 43. Natural overload to the offenses left. Really depends on what you’re trying to defend. Solid front. It’s a bear front if you crash D line out. Out leverages the offense inside out. It’s not the same as the 46 because it doesn’t out leverage the O line across the board. It’s similar between the tackles but has more flexibility in the pass game and coverage options.

Quote from MUTSG >> You can beat any hard flat with the wheel route. But yeah, I been seeing a lot of Cover 3 Hard Flat. It's probably a good one since you can adjust deep and it looks like you're in the same defense the whole game. Maybe someone can come on here and tell you how it's run. I almost never call Cover 3 because there are so many cover 3 beaters that can burn it in one play and I haven't found one that stops corner routes. IDK why you want to call out users who spam the same play the entire game. If it's working for them why would they change? They are trying to get you to adjust what you're doing and you should be doing the same to them.

Zone: an easy way to tell is go into concepts, you see dive plays within the inside zone genre.
