You don’t have to upgrade any coach. PA Smash is native from the vertical playbook so just select a vertical Captian for the cause of that one event and switch back afterwards. Btw, the PA Smash in the coach Madden playbook is a different play from the one you’re looking for. You should look for the one where the HB runs a post route down the middle.

Cheers. I definitely agree with the size coming into play in terms of how fast a player will be. I do feel he drops a fair few of contested passes, though. Some of them are to be expected, but he also drops some passes where I would have wanted even a less physical receiver to catch it.    But then again, my running backs tend to fall dead even at the slightest touch, so maybe I’m the one who needs to level my expectations.

Would be nice if they mixed it up a bit again with some new players.

Also, bar HoF Larry Fitzgerald, we’ve barely had any receivers with good blocking stats.

I’ve thought about this in relation to seasons. You know, when you do a training drill instead of gaining something like +1 to passing attributes, why not add that particular play to the playbook instead?  The same could be done in MM as a whole in like a master series event type of thing, where you pick a play in the end like you pick a master. Now you can use that play in OD, in Arena, LvL etc.
