I don't know, if that happens, it'll be a lot like what's happening with the baseball Hall of Fame where everyone who was decently good gets in, which I'm not a fan of. The way I evaluate the HOF is with two questions "Did they have a great career?" and "Can you tell the story of the sport without them?" For example, if you were telling the full story of the NFL, you'd need to include both the Manning brothers. With Edelman, I'm just not entirely convinced that that's the case.
