I don’t think Melo fits well with KAT and Russell bc Russell and Melo both need the ball. Wiseman would be interesting with KAT but in the end I think Edwards ends up in MN, whether that means he goes 1 or the Wolves take someone else and trade for him.

No you don’t have to play well, Burress won the SN CPOY with a stat line of 45/612/8 after spending the two previous seasons in prison. You don’t even have to be hurt the year prior, Philip Rivers won in 2013 simply bc he was terrible in 2012. CPOY is awarded for overcoming adversity such as a severe injury, not being in the NFL or poor performance the previous year. IMO what Alex Smith has had to overcome to get back on the field, 17 surgeries and an infection that almost cost him his life let alone his leg, is far more impressive than anything Roethlisberger or Newton have had to face.
