Yea I learned that the hard way. Don't understand how so many guys at the LOS can get beat so easily.

Go plug in your old PS2 or buy one somewhere for cheap, & play Madden 05 or 06 if you want to play a real football game without all the shenanigans & nonsense. I'm not even trying to be a jerk, it's literally what I've done (although I'm on my gamecube emulator on my PC. I can't deal with being forced to play a certain way to succeed in Madden this year.

There's nothing LIT about any madden 13 or higher. Madden 12 & anything that came before it was fun and didn't have such annoying gameplay.

I got plenty to get off my chest: QB's that take their sweet a** time winding back to throw the ball from the pocket. Exactly like you said. Completely stupid and makes pocket QB like Brady & Warner absolutely useless. CB's literally CANNOT press this year. WTF is the point of a press rating if you're gonna get burned 100% of the time? The fact that you have to make Offensive line adjustments to counter the pass rush cheese. Why can't my 97 Diedorf or Walter Jones block??? Running the ball is WAY too OP. Defenders will get vacuumed into blocks they should be shedding. Zone defense is way too good and man defense absolutely sucks. Pursuit angles are garbage as I'm forced to run from behind the ball carrier. Lastly, I don't appreciate having to glitch the game for all it's flaws just to compete. I used to play Madden 06 all the way till Madden 12 with ZERO reason for me to change my game up. Then when the trash new game mechanics came in Madden 13, it was all downhill from then and until this day. Somebody said it, but you literally need the metta to win in this game. I can waltz into 2k right now and dominate for 2 simple reasons: 1. Because there's only 8 other CPU players to worry about as opposed to 20. Less stupidity that I can't control. And 2: Because there's 60 possessions a game for each player, as opposed to maybe 3 or 4 on madden. Larger sample size to weed out the pretenders.

The fact that people have to resort to "meta" plays to combat the CPU stupidity is on EA, not the gamer. I can't tell you how many times I feel like throwing my controller because my 3-4 play that's supposed to stuff the run gets blown open for a 65 yard running TD. I can't tell you how many times I feel like throwing my controller because trying to play QB from the pocket is an absolute nightmare. Nothing gets open on offense and everything is intercepted and there's 0 pass protection.

You're just now starting to hate it??? HAHAHA I've hated this game since Madden 13 when they completely removed any trace of sim football that was left. This year has boiled down literally to just how well you can exploit the CPU in this game. Press coverage gets burned 100% of the time 1 on 1. The running game out of certain formations is glitchy as hell. Just a few examples.

It's about time the Houston organization starts to get flamed on. They've been overshadowed for years now by the Cowboys even worse run franchise & the've been able to be forgiven year in & year out.

He's saying that different formations trigger better animations for certain positions. It's complete stupidity, but it's EA. EX: If your CB is garbage in Nickel 3-3-5, he might be an absolute stud in a 2-4-5.

Yea, the lag spike that fails to register you clicking the A/X button has doomed me plenty of times. Other than that though, FG's in madden have been super easy. You have to go back to the PS2 days to find a challenge kicking field goals. Madden 06 with the 3 clicks were super hard to make.
