I mean.. that's 0.0004 icu beds per person.... that has to be enough, right?

I'm near a town of 55k... there's 24 ICU beds. It's like people can't wrap their heads around these little numbers that really matter in a pandemic situation.

I wish for no pain.    But there's a saying.. "you can wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which fills up faster".

I think Rob tried to give me a tip once when I was in the hot tub. Either that or he was really happy to see me.    Them were the days.

I have ehlers danlos. It's a debilitating and disabling disease that causes horrible pain. I'm also being evaluated for a second disease called Stiff person's syndrome. I have the antibodies for the disease but they're so barely positive they're having a hard time actually diagnosing me with it. I'm off for a second opinion. But it causes very painful muscle contractions that are powerful enough to sometimes break bones. Needless to say, I live my life in pain.    I live in Wisconsin where medical nor recreational are legal. I also have a genetic defect where the efficacy of narcotics and opioids is nil for me. There's not much I can look to for pain relief. Drinking does actually help dull the pain. But I don't want to kill my liver. I smoke weed every day. There's no reason I should have to be a criminal using something that works better than a prescribed, addictive pain pill.    And I'm a criminal. I grow weed. I go to Denver and bring weed home. It's all for personal use. I have no regrets about it. Why should I? People don't live my life.

I know those that have interacted with me on religious topics are going to find this hard to believe... but I was born into a religious family. My mom is a Sunday school teacher and my cousin is a pastor.    I would say I'm more spiritual than religious. I live in a rather small community and it's hard being in a building with that many hypocrites and still feel good about " religion". Going to church on Sunday and asking for forgiveness for sins you're just going to turn right back around and do, rinse and repeat really wasn't working for me. In today's world I wonder if people would call Jesus a libtard to his face or behind his back. Isn't that the whole premise of the bible... to love all others as you love yourself?  Is feeding a hungry man, woman or child welfare or good will? Is allowing others to be as happy as you are a sin, or being humane?   I have to go with science in the end. Did a 600 year old man take a 100 years to build an ark big enough to house the literally millions of different plants and animals found on this great round earth, or did evolution happen? There's a species of frogs that are proven to adapt based on sex needs. You can put a whole bunch of females in one place... and low and behold you have babies.
