No way that an app that just kept getting re-skinned from year to year since it launched in Madden '19 was just going to seamlessly integrate auction house activities across separate console gens. I'm sure EA realized this and decided it wasn't going to pay to upgrade the code or actually develop a working alternative, so it just got scrapped. Quietly scrapped, with EA's MUT team delaying the release, saying they're "making fixes," "working out bugs," kicking the can down the road, until a couple of months from now when they tweet that EA "projects that a feature rich companion app will be available for future titles in the Madden series" when they shut down the Madden '23 companion app server.

I actually get some satisfaction knowing sweaty try-hard shitheads aren't meeting their comp pass objectives because of their toxic play. I say keep things the way they are. Maybe this is the EA devs saying "OK man, we know you've paid hundreds already for your 85 OVR team, watched every youtube video, played thousands of weekend league games and labbed thousands of hours over the last 10 years finding every exploit in the code. Tone your shit down." Or not. Whatever, it doesn't matter to me. The fact there are a lot of "serious, competative" MUT players out there crying about this makes me laugh.

I'm surprised EA hasn't tried to monetize gaining XP. Some kind of XP points pack in the store seems like it would be right up their alley. Why grind for series and comp passes when you could just credit card your way through the levels?
