I think I've had something similar happen a few times, based on your description. If your controller appear to go inactive, quick pop the batteries out and then back in and turn on your controller again. I have to do this maybe once every two weeks. Seems like something happens that basically "disables" (for lack of a better word) the controller. Taking out the batteries and restarting flushes out whatever the problem is.

Yup. Same as noted above. Juts back out of Ultimate Team then go back in.

As 18sbb said below, you don't need a 92 team to be competitive. I have an Eagles TT ranked 90 right now and I win more than I lose. If you focus on some key areas (DB, QB, RB) you don't need top players at every position. I'm still running that horrible Eagles low gold RG. Good news is that you can get players up to 91-92 very cheap right now. Only the 94s are expensive. Bad news is that because players are so cheap, its tough to build a coin stack from packs. I would agree that is is probably $200 minimum to pout together a decent team. But if you pick the packs wisely, then hit some of the higher value challenges and Competitive Pass awards, you should be fine. (Without grinding too much, I would agree the $400 is probably more of a fast-track to 92, if that's what you want.) But unlike some of the other posters, I just enjoy playing other people. I find SB and challenges very boring, so I almost exclusively play H2H. I think the gameplay itself is actually pretty good on next gen. Most of the issues this year with MUT have been the continuous problems with rewards. (And Ea just being a horrible, horrible company. Their support is aweful if you need it.)

Actually, I think seasons is great. If you have a team that runs one play they are easy to beat. This is my first year on next gen, and I'm actually having a lot of fun. I'm actually not sure why people only play the CPU, I find that really boring. (Might as well stick to franchise, and definitely not worth spending money.) I do make sure I mute all mikes and block messages. lol That makes the experience much more enjoyable. I don't watch YouTube, average 12 different plays on offense and defense each game, and don't run a God squad either. (Eagles full TT, even with that garbage O-Line. Only exception is Deion at CB.) I'm not a world-beater but win more than I lose and average 13 wins in WL and pretty consistently make playoffs in seasons.

What you have to do is actually make sure you completely restart the game. So you have to explicitly; "Quit Game" from the main menu. You can't use the quick resume. It took me forever to figure this out when the game first cam out. Hope this helps!

Of course not A. Zero chance Not because I'm against spending any money, but my Madden season always ends at playoff time. I start in August and by the time playoffs come around, I'm pretty much done with Madden for the year. (After 6 months, kinds burned out and move to other things until the next Madden season.) I've bene playing MUT since the beginning (I'm old lol) and I've never played long enough to even see a golden ticket.

Actually, I found this HR to be pretty quick. I do agree that having it same time as WL sucks. But I had 6 victories in a row, and they took well less than an hour. I had 2 people quit right after a turnover and another person quit when i ran for two first downs lol

Wanted to add that I know EA support get a bad rep, but the person I dealt with was great. SO I'll them them a kudo when they deserve it.
