I'm honestly not sure if YOU actually play MyTeam. You can literally get every single non-insert card for free no money spent in MyTeam from the last few promos just by doing agendas. We are talking 98's, 97's, all the way down to the base 91's. Literally whole programs for free outside of the 99/100 inserts. In MUT you are gonna get maybe a single 2nd tier promo card as BND and that's it. MyTeam has problems, but MUT has gone absolute full dumpster fire this year. Comparing NMS across games isn't even close, people who think MyTeam doesn't give you free stuff really doesn't play the mode.

Completely agree, based on the activity here I’m thinking a lot of people actually did quit. I popped in a couple times during S5, looked at the rewards for time spent grinding, and reached the same conclusion as you, why keep playing? I picked up AC Mirage when it dropped to $30, but it’s no Odyssey or Origins for sure. I’ll check out Diablo, I haven’t played since some of the originals but am definitely looking for a game that’s actually fun and doesn’t rely on micro transactions as its core business model. Hitman 3 has been pretty fun, it’s more puzzle solving than people think and Sniper Elite 5 is always good for a few hours of entertainment if you like that genre of shooter/sniper games.

Same as below, I've soft quit since the middle of S4. The gameplay is fine overall, but the content has gotten so lazy and boring I don't know how people keep playing. The Field and Comp pass rewards are straight ass, the solo rewards are garbage, the "content" is 90% recycled, it's just not fun anymore. I checked back with the Season 5 drop and it's gotta be one of the most bland ever. Without a Gauntlet or any new sets or anything, what's the point right now? Packs and odds are trash, they are always removing sets to kill Auction House workers, it's brutal. Everyone has their own opinions, but 2K unequivocally has been a far better time to rewards/fun value BY FAR this year. EA just laid off another 5% of their company today so I'm not sure it's getting any better. MUT has been on a steady decline for years, but this is by far the least I've ever played, and I'm seeing this same sentiment elsewhere. It's a dead franchise walking.

Every card is available from the "Player Market" at all times for purchase in either coins (MT) or points (VC). The newest / highest rated cards cost the most, but they are constantly decreasing the cost as the year goes on. An 85 OVR was maybe 10k at launch and is now down to under 1k. You can also earn A LOT more cards for free by playing the game and hitting the agenda items (kind of like Field Pass), but the rewards are much better and much more worth your time. They also have Exhibitions where you send your cards out and get rewards back simply for waiting, as well as "Daily Deals" for discounted cards. That being said, 2k is not a charity, if you want the TOP TOP players in the game, you are gonna have to shell out cash. It's been about $20 on average for a top end card. Keep in mind though, the game is 5v5 or 3v3, so it's not needing 22+ of the best of the best to keep up with the Joneses.

Mahomes is a far more egregious selection, not only because he already has a 96 AND a 99, but wasn’t top 5-10 anything this year except interceptions. Lamar wasn’t either. Dak, Purdy, even Tua make much more sense than those two tbh.

Also with Lamar and Tua for far fewer fumbles, I think you really are hating too hard on him, or can't read all that well.

Josh Allen had 18 interceptions, Mahomes had 14, TLaw had 14, Hurts had 14, Sam Howell had 21! Josh Allen had 4 fumbles, TLaw had 7, Lamar had 6, Tua had 5, Mahomes 4. Wayyy to much is made of his turnovers considering he had 15 rushing TDs to go along with his 29 passing and 4800+ yards of offense. It's a sad narrative, kind of like how Purdy is a "system QB", they both past an eye test that only haters can deny. Purdy has a 4-1 playoff record in 2 years despite being Mr Irrelevant, and Lamar is 2-4 in 6 years but listen to Ryan Clark, Swagu, and ESPN put all the spin in the world on the fact that Lamar is the MVP and far superior player and Purdy is trash.

Sounds like the same way as everyone else, if it's not my team, the underdog story who hasn't won recently. The Lions/Browns/Texans all would've all been insane, but there's still a chance for one of them. I've seen them go 0-16 in person, I was literally at that last game for their 16th loss so to see them win a SB would be crazy. Brock Purdy should hands down be the best story in the past 25 years minimum. Mr. Irrelevant playing god-tier football, top 10 all-time season in rating / QBR and in back-to-back NFCCG's to start his career. And you know I don't like the 49ers. The media, including guys like Nick Wright have done nothing but dump on him and this story and all you hear is that he's a system QB and he gets zero credit. Again, like Nick Wright, these are the same people with an irrational hatred for Nikola Jokic (look at his takes on him), so I'm not shocked when Ryan Clark, SaS, and the boys at ESPN openly root for and against players the way they do.

The whole OPOY category is egregious. I get the Lamar for MVP narrative, but there's no way he gets an OPOY nomination with his stats. And having not one, but TWO Cowboys on that list? We are just going to ignore that Josh finished had 500+ yards rushing AND 15 TDs. Jalen Hurts got all that credit last year, but apparently this year Allen can't even be a finalist. The script writers are getting sloppy these days.

I'm going to ignore the Rodgers heresy cause honestly at this point you sound like a spurned lover. Anyhow, like I said in a previous post, Love has played lights out in the past 8 games. What makes this even more impressive is that he has THE WORST (aka youngest) receiving core in the league. Unless you play regs or fantasy football, there's no way a casual could name a single WR or TE that he is throwing the ball to. I expected him to play well, but lose in a shootout to the Cowboys. I should've known of course that Dak and the 'boys would choke like they have for the last 30 years, but the most shocking part of that game was how good the Packers D appeared. We've been calling for Joe Barry to be fired for months. Everyone has heard this stat, but they are dead last (32nd) on pass defense inside the numbers. I'm honestly still confused how bad Dak was, because their pass defense really is atrocious. 2 short drives ending in punts and 2 interceptions including a pick-6 to have his team down 27-0 near the end of the 2nd quarter was insane. To the 49ers game, I expect this to be a shootout where both QBs play really well. In the same way the Packers have owned the Cowboys though, the 49ers have owned the Packers for years in the playoffs. Maybe Love can break the curse, but I'll take the Niners 31-24 in a back and forth game. We also need to give some credit to LaFleur. He won't be mentioned as a COTY with Stefanski, Ryans, Steichen, Campbell, but what he's done not only to develop Love and call a gameplan around him, but also to take the NFL's youngest team to the 2nd round of the playoffs when everyone said it was gonna be a rebuilding year w/o Rodgers is one of the more impressive jobs in the league. The narrative and myth that he was only good because of A-Rod has been busted.
