This is due to them selling the Honors lamar in a week or two. This is nothing else other than an attempt to have a market for that cards release. Giving out free 96 lamars from this promo would hit their bottom line hard. My favorite part of all of this is that after you collect 35 shields, 15 85+ players, 1 90+ and 40 specific badges for a playoff master, they REQUIRE 50K COINS TO REDEEM THE SET. How completely unnecessary.

I think everyone just needs to chill on this promo until it drops. If the phenoms/legends/TOTW cards continue to be auctionable this promo may be very good. People can sell legends and get phenoms to upgrade if they want for instance. As messina said in another thread, these programs will end with the football season and some with this weeks release. I like that they have given us options to use these currencies before they make them truly worthless. I just don't see how any of these things are bad, and I like to complain about EA all the time, but the more i think about this one the more sense it seems to make.
