That means they go into their power up cards at that slot. Once you have the power up you can see what other cards and training is needed.

Video games are a hobby and a getaway for a lot of people so yes some take it more seriously than others. I'm sure there is something you are passionate about that most people careless about. Do more of what makes you happy and if its grinding solos or spending a lot of time on Muthead then they should. Too much negativity to not be happy.
