I do that all the time in betting. It's called a Happiness Hedge. Im a Bucs Fan so I'll bet Eagles +8. If Bucs win by 10 and I lose money, so be it. If by chance they win by 7 or less, I'm happy x2. Now if they lose outright, that sucks but I'll at least have some extra $$$

If you are running Bucs TT, get Al Woods and power him up with Bucs Chem. Also, Selmon is good

just in general

Make sure to check what your opponent is running after every play. Also, make sure to wait to select a play on Def and see what formation your opponent is running. Sounds simple, but I would sometimes find myself just picking an off or def play quickly without tailoring it to what my opponent was running. Just this minor adjustment has helped me tremendously.
