It's not cost prohibitive for a studio to develop a football sim, but there other developers that have tried, and they're all terrible. And, Madden does have its problems, many in fact. So, until another big time developer is willing to invest resources into a competent football sim, even without the proper licenses, Madden is still the most accurate sim on the market, sad as it sounds.

I have a Pats 40/50, 84 OVR team, with 660k in the bank. i bought the pre order, used the points to get a few packs, got lucky with a few of them, and bought as many core elite platinum pats players as i could when people were selling them for right around QS value, then just bought the cheapest pats golds i could get for backups. now just saving. while i would like to have 87 hunter henry, i used the headliners bnd to get donald parnham, so im fine with the core elite henry as a backup. I also took 86 Tyquan Thornton as my free RP from rewards, and 87 Ceedee is my other receiver. i also used coins from rewards to build the patriots team builder players for like 25-28k apiece. luckily, since they have pats chem, the free 86 CB moss and free 89 gilmore will round out my defense, and I took Sam Adams as my team captain. hopefully i get the 89 moss WR through the competitive 89 All Madden rewards. I would also be happy with Montana, and I would QS my platinum brady for 95k. from all the platinum elites, i probably have 300k extra. I know those aren't direct answers haha, but thats been my strategy so far. My best advice would be, unless you're bent on building a theme team, having a well rounded team with a few game-breaking pieces is more important than just having a high OVR. That, and only upgrade a position when it is going to be 3 OVR or more of an improvement. Don't be an OVR sucker.

Yeah, you have to get another player of the same position who could fill that spot, even if you have other players you can place there. For instance, I couldn't sell a fullback because i didnt have any other fullbacks in my binder, even though i could put halfbacks and tight ends in that spot. It sounds like youre using either a tackle or guard at center, or either a RE, DT, or OLB at LE.

You might be new to MUT, but if you even the teensiest knowledge of gambling, the deck is always stacked in the house's favor.

What do you mean? You have 5 Hall of Famers. Hayes and Hilgenberg have near Hall of Fame credentials, and Vrabel made huge plays in consecutive Super Bowls. So, are you talking about the name value, since they aren't Moss or LT, or do you mean the quality of their cards?

I think the idea of the field pass came pretty late into the development cycle of the game, so they probably didn't remove some of the features that the field pass would have made obsolete.

I remember the fair play settings. Idk if those would be necessary, but I would like to see an option to play H2H in sim mode. In sim mode, there would be much more realistic sliders for subtitutions (making position depth far more important), amd injuries would be possible. Also, not sure if thresholds exist in Sim mode (I think ratings scale the way they should). What is your opinion on that, OP?

Oh okay. Wasn't sure, bc the headliners pass is 60 days long.

Patriots rookie CB Jack Jones has pic of Chandler Jones from when he used to play for the Pats.
