This. It benefits EA. If everyone does the same thing, cards make more of a difference. This game is f***ed

Listen, EA sucks, we all know it. But a lot of this is personal responsibility. You don't have to run the meta. Getting a bit tired of people, not the OP, but a lot of people who complain about EA - but then the cheesiest of the cheeses every match. At some point you don't have to be a part of the problem.

The distinction for me here is offense, in the current state of the game, is easy. A decent player can run nearly any scheme and score - pass/run, short passing, deep passing, read option, pocket passing. defense is damn near impossible, and far more dependent on cards than offense. But I throw tons of different blitzes @ people from different formations, positions, and man/zone. Some of them are from nickel-double-a-gap. I do run midblitz. Granted, of course, I'm biased. But what I'm looking to communicate here is that there are far more options for any player on offense. Right now Kyler Murray is my QB and I have 12-11 in WL. I do not have a Gun Bunch formation in my offensive playbook and I refuse PA Boot over. There is no 3-3-5 wide formation in my defensive playbook. I have contempt for Gun Bunch spammers. But on Defense? I'm of the 'do what you have to' mind right now because offenses are so hard to stop, especially Gun Double Posts/Bench Pivot based offenses. I blitz like crazy because I have to. My distinction here is - you don't have to use Gun Bunch or PA Boot to score on offense - not at all. Even with an 81 Kyler Murray at QB I drop 30 on most opponents out of the spread.

If you're in Nickel/Dime packages most of the time, then it's extremely difficult to stop the dive. If you're in an empty or you're not keeping in a TE +/- a RB in to block (max protect), then you're in trouble against the mid blitz. I'm happy the dive is good with Henry - it's pretty damn good in real life. I'm happy sending 6 via double-a-gap is good, because this game has fairly bad coverage mechanics - if you're running those goddam deep crossers or posts, you're goddam right I'll eventually start blitzing the hell out of you.

But like... what plays are you running?

Yea I think it's one of those things where the best strategy for EA from a business standpoint, is for players to keep switching to whomever the OP theme team is ATM. But it could just be a coincidence. It was absolute madness that the Jets dominated the first legends pool.

Stuff like this doesn't bother me so much. This kinda thing will happen. What bothers me is the Gun Bunch/nickel 335 wide being dominant for three years running, pay to win, lesser rewards, copy pasta gameplay, E Books/Cheese and EA's slow reaction to broken elements in the game. But a delay on content after a patch or a delay in rewards by a bit? I don't know, I just don't get too worked up over that.

I was 12-11... I did not play the last two games because I thought I was maxed on how high a reward I could reach... Don't make it retroactive. And do something about Gun Bunch Double Posts - i had to suffer through about 18 games of that nonsense.

What's with everyone and the "change my mind". I don't care to. EA is terrible and this game hasn't been changed in years. But more importantly - why do you think anyone gives a sh*t what you think?
