No....BUT....taking enough losses to be forced down into the lower division will affect your ELO and result in easier matchups at some point. Sometimes....it's just a matter of who's available and online at the same time you are......and you end up playing the same guy 2 or 3 times in a row.

The short answer is you compromise...put a few 99 OVR players that you dont really care for that much or that dont fit your theme team...just to get that 99 OVR rating. I did it .so I could get a picture on my screen of a 99 OVR team...and then subbed back in some players I like better....and I'm back down to a 98 OVR. For instance....Darren Waller only goes up to 98....but I like him. Better than Gronk...so I put Gronk as my starter to get to 99....but really use Waller as My starter in H2H.

Me too...I honestly dont remember the year....but I remember Madden on cover...and it was a PC game (X Box and Play Station didnt exist yet) I didnt try MUT until 19 though....

In love Lott...he was my starting safety till I upgraded Sean Taylor to 99 OVR now hes my backup FS. However....i wouldnt see him as an upgrade over NTL as a slot CB.....especially with my chemistry. Not only Is NTL 1 SPD faster....but he's 99 MCV, 99 ZCV and 99 PRS on my team.....Lott is not even cloae to as good in man coverage no matter what chema you have on him....i guess if you never play man coverage it might make sense.....for a little more hit power.

Use your 99 PU pass on him instead of 550K I know it seems like a waste to spend a lot of money or a 99 OVR PU pass on a kicker...but if you play a lot of H2H this time of year...against mostly 99 OVR teams....games are often very close...and being able to kick 62 yard FGs all day can make a bigger difference than you might think.

Actually...on my team Rhodes actually plays pretty well...but then again...my team is pretty unique. For coach, Stadium and uniforms....instead of BO like everyone else... I'm using Vikings Pass Defense....between that and LD and sprinter maxed... my Vikings corners (NTL, Byron Jones and Xavier Rhodes) are all pretty darned good. Also....I use 7 CBs in the 1-3-7 formation.....Rhodes is my #7....plays better than a safety in that formation. My CBs in order (with my chems on them) are: 1) GT Ramsey 2) Byron Jones 3.) Champ Bailey 4.) Denzel Ward 5.) NTL 6.) Willie Brown 7) Xavier Rhodes I use NTL and Willie Brown as my slot CBs. I got rid of Primetime a while back....he gets burned if you use preas coverage and forget to change his coverage to non press...and he geta run right over in the running game or by a big TE like Gronk. At TE I'm running Gronk, Waller, and Wirfs.....Wallers speed makes him better on streak routes and such than Gronk...Wirfs lined up as a TE...is the best run blocking TE in the game...and its not even close. I used Kittle most of the year...until Wallers last upgrade then he became my #2...but then 99 Gronk needed to be on my team as my #1 TE for me to get a 99 OVR team (even though after substitutions I really use Waller as my #1)...so now poor Kittle suts on my bench....dont have the heart to sell him off since he carried my team through most of the year.
