See I have the exact opposite.  For some reason 4th and Long situations seem to always help my WR/TE catch better. H2H as whole though is flubbered in my opinion since the last update.  When I setup a new game in all-madden it seems like whatever plays I use in the first drive I shouldn’t use in the second and third because the defense is way more effective.

Honestly I’d just quit playing H2H until you get a better device.  It sucks, I know, but it’s less frustrating that way.

I’d think your test would be more conclusive using the same quarterback at different levels.

It’s been fixed, but for some of us where we did the TOTY set that didn’t add to the achievement are still waiting for EA to fix it.     Right now I am up to two pro-packs as an appeasement but I’m not accepting.  Once you accept the pro-pack then the company sees that as they made good on their side and then they close the case.

Both safties aren’t very good at stopping anyone.  Collins is better at interceptions from my experience facing him.
