Will Shields and Too Tall

Not even playing MUT, playing Franchise mode (offline), and it keeps freezing in the middle of my super bowl. I've had to force close Madden five times. I managed to finish it once and got to the end screen and it froze while loading. Opened the game back up and it threw me back into the super bowl mid 2nd quarter. Does EA just refuse to let players finish super bowls no matter what game mode?
