I faced a player yesterday where I tried the running strategy. Some downs I would be able to run for 5 or 7, and some downs I ran for 2. If it is a 3rd and 7, and I am not consistently running for 7 then I am not trusting the running game for a first. I just can't.

I understand these run the ball comments, but what about obvious passing downs? After running for 3 yards on first and second, it is 3rd and 4 or what to do when its 3rd and 7? They are going to call that defense and give you no time to pass. I have been struggling with it too OP.
