I think EA will upgrade them but make the AP high for sought after abilities and the introduce a 1 ovr lower card with low AP cost for same abilities. So a RT or LT will have an up grade to a 91 but have 4AP for edge protector then they put out the same player as a 90 with 1AP for edge. You only get the highest ovef upgrade.

EA should have increased all of the 0AP cards to 1AP. That’s the only way to keep things fair otherwise theme teams and nms players are at a disadvantage. O AP should never have been a thing in the first place. Why have abilities if they’re stock? 0 AP lurker?… why? just let the mlb jump.

This is a major fundamental change to MUT. Ultimate Team was introduced as a combination of fantasy football and trading cards. Madden players were able to use the cards just like real NFL trading cards: collect favorite player cards, or ones with with unique card art, and trade cards with friends to complete a set. By removing the ability to trade cards, we no longer have virtual trading cards. What is left is just virtual NFL players. No need for card art or info on the back of the card. It’s just a player to add to your team. The “card” part is gone.

I didn’t say I wanted the Hitstick removed, just that I am surprised EA went all in on the Hitstick by using as the solo objective given what happened. Every solo seems to require a Hitstick tackle these days. I also wondered why the NFL is ok with the Hitstick. After all they made EA get rid of the ambulance driving on the field.

You’re spot on. EA ruined MUT this year. They took the nicotine out of the cigarette. Without coin rewards for solo battles and weekend league there’s no point in wasting your time. Once you reach a certain level weekend league is meaningless. I will say though, H2h still has glitches but is much improved over recent Maddens. It’s just the mode is boring. EA also took away power ups making it harder to improve your team. The YouTubers complain about speed boosts but they want fast players….they just don’t want you to have fast players. EA needs to bring back coin rewards. Right now the only way to make coins is sniping and using loopholes which is kind of against the code of conduct. I just want to play the game and right now the juice is just not worth the squeeze.

So, 2 million coins for a 90 speed QB that you can’t use both gunslinger and escape artist on. EA better do better with the Henry QB GT.
