Did you already enable the advanced skill moves button in the settings to give you access to spins and hurdles, etc?

From what the gameplay livestream today showed, run blocking seems incredibly improved...all the runs chosen were blocked pretty well and even end around seemed viable so maybe it won't matter as much.

I made the switch from 6'4 Daunte Culpepper to 5'10 Kyler Murray a couple months back. Few things I had to get used to (I run Vertical btw). First thing is what you say about hitting an offensive lineman's head, but perhaps not in the way you expect. When throwing some shorter drag routes, as long as you're not pressed up too close to the front of the pocket, you should be able to bullet pass over the o-line. More important is that a smaller QB gets dwarfed by the larger o-linemen so when they start getting pushed back into your QB and you try to throw, you might clunk the pass off their body when they're right next to you. I basically solved this by making sure I wasn't too close to anyone when throwing. When throwing drag routes, just don't throw when the receiver is right in the middle of the line, wait for them to continue running a bit. You'll just have to be a little more mindful of where you're standing. Drop back a little further if you have to, or wait for routes to develop a tad bit longer. It's more medium throws that I've had some issues with honestly, like when trying to throw over a linebacker or safety to hit a receiver with a bullet pass maybe 5 yards deeper. But again that's just changing the throwing angle and knowing I need to let the receiver run a little bit more so that when I throw, it will be out of the reach of the mid defender. Most notable change for me though, was when I'm scrambling and throwing on the run. With Culpepper, I could roll out to the side to bail from the pocket, then start running towards the line of scrimmage to draw the defender closer and throwing over them at the last second to the wide-open receiver. The difference between Murray and Culpepper was that Culpepper was able to get the ball over the defender, even when they jumped up to bat the ball. With Murray sometimes if I waited too long before releasing, the defender is able to bat it down. It wasn't too big of an issue though, other than changing my release timing. By now, I've gotten used to it and I rarely get any batted down. I've always been a fan of bigger QBs and Murray was my first shorter one. There really isn't too much of a difference to be honest. I wouldn't say if you go from a tall QB to a short QB then you're not going to be able to play well. You'll just have a little learning curve and gradually get used to it. Personally I'm liking the shorter height, slimmer player model. Makes it easier to maneuver in the pocket and avoid rushers. Now my only issue is I can't power through the goal line with Murray on scrambles like I could with Culpepper but at the same time, I've had more success slipping through small gaps between defenders on goal line scrambles with Murray so it balances out anyways.

Quote from Samfromfrisco >> Cribbs is too big. I did not enjoy using his card. Smaller guys get more separation and break more long returns and TDs. Hall is 5’8” (Same size as Barry Sanders and Tarik Cohen), and has 93 speed and ACC. He is a KR TD factory. ^^This. I've been using the gold Diontae Spencer KR card from Most Feared up until now and in the span of a month, have collected 25 KR touchdowns in various LvL and H2H experiences. He's 5'8, 170. I got the 85 ovr Josh Cribbs card for a bit and still got a few touchdowns here and there but I had spent the entire season developing my KR returns with a smaller frame so using Cribbs threw me off because although statistically he was better in all ways than Spencer, he just didn't feel as agile despite having +6 agility over the gold card so I switched back and was rewarded with another two KR touchdowns.

Just my two cents... I agree, Deion at CB1 makes sense to lock down whoever the WR1 is. Alternatively, I could also see Blount at CB1 just because he's 6'3 but in terms of pure coverage, Deion would be better. Would definitely put Julio at SS because of his height vs the tight ends and Polamalu at FS. Alternatively, call a lot of nickel in defense and put Polamalu in at nickel as a sort of safety/linebacker hybrid. Otherwise, Jones at SS and Polamalu at FS seems like a good two-safety look. Both Blount and Ramsey would work at CB2. If you want one of them in the slot, I'd go with Blount at CB2 and Ramsey at nickel if only because Ramsey has better blockshed to run support in the slot. I don't like the stats of Hyde as a run stopper or a coverage safety. I'd put Rapp at nickel because he's solid in coverage and run stopping ability but you have so many other options that I'd say put him in at dime. So to recap: CB1: Sanders

Currently have Tillman at CB2, with Gilmore at CB1. Didn't get to Ramsey yet. He plays pretty well and shows up quite regularly in H2H and LvL. I don't keep track of OD stats just because of how unreliable it can be. Note that I mostly have Tillman playing man coverage. Not sure how he plays in a zone-heavy scheme.

Can't say anything about him in the slot. I've got him at CB2, with X-Factor Gilmore at CB1. 78 Ty Law was my previous CB1, with Aces Bobby McCain at CB2. Both got plenty of INTs in my 3-4 blitz-heavy defense. Don't have too much stats-wise on Gilmore and Tillman but they've both already ended a few drives in LvL so I expect they're both doing pretty well. Played a few game situation events today and they both kept jumping routes for picks. Just wish the game could implement his Peanut Punch somehow...

Quote from noahlaman >> Bumping this to hopefully get more defensive golds on here! Perhaps I can shed some light. :) At the moment I'm running more of a 3-4 man-to-man type defense, so my apologies for the nonexistant zone coverage for most of my defensive backs lol. At CB, Kevin King (72ovr) has good size as well as the physical stats to move and cover receivers. Solid press coverage as well. JC Jackson (71ovr) is pretty good for being a very low ovr with a more balanced man/zone split. I really liked Trayvon Mullen (71ovr) because he's got one of the higher man coverage stats at 67 with good spd and acc, but his agi leaves a little to be desired.

With a 60 ovr at QB, scrambled around during an event and threw a pass right as a lineman hit me, resulting in a strip sack returned for a TD. Would advise being careful during LvL and other competitive modes. Happy gaming! :D

Cenamuch in case you didn't see it, in milesaboveyou1's thread HSD said that the website was incorrect and ratings aren't going to be released today. :/
