I think that this new format is proof positive that EA is unable to create new content at the rate we are expecting. They're using pre-selected Masters because they are unable to deliver quickly enough to create them based on what happened each weekend. Expect a season of BS/non-content.

Because EA decided to create a new game mode to get an early start in their competition with 2k's upcoming arcade NFL game. EA should have focused on properly supporting and maintaining what they have - the simulation game. They're so arrogant they believe they can't lose their NFL/NFLPA rights so they neglect the sim modes, thinking the NFL/NFLPA cares only about $$$.
