I'm in law, and I can tell you the verbiage they use explaining the ban lift is a workaround of essentially saying they had to remove the bans or they'd face lawsuits, as many people didn't break the ToS, and were incorrectly receiving these messages. I know multiple people who filed complaints with the better business bureau, and EA was starting to sweat.

They didn't address mentioning the people they incorrectly banned, which is a large # of the community, including myself

Because my coin stack went down by a million in ~10 minutes... I have no idea. There's nothing else I did to get banned, according to the ToS.
