Alright, so I'm playing franchise as a player w/ instant starter turned off. Obviously it takes a little bit of time to get to an overall where I'm either starting or at the very least 2nd string - I was trying to speed up the process by simulating a couple seasons and somewhere along the way, I was released by my team. I mean, at least that's what I think happened. My guy is now sitting in the locker room in a patriotic uniform and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do here. I'm not getting any offers or anything, which I assumed would happen; I can't spend XP, view my goals, or edit my player. When I hover over my goals, it tells me to join a team and I have no clue how to do that, I even tried to Google a solution but couldn't find anything on it. The only thing I can do is advance week or retire player. I don't know what happened or how, so could someone enlighten me here because this is some bullshit.   Also, why does it sometimes not let me participate in a play where I'm actually in the game. Every so often when I sim a game while watching it, I'll see my name pop up. Shouldn't I be able to participate in every play that I'm involved in?

95 Christian Mccaffrey   I didn't bother looking him up on here before spending a little over 500k on him only to later find out he only goes for around 350. Now I'm not entirely sure whether shelling out the coins was a good idea or not. I bought him to replace Tarik Cohen and Austin Ekeler, both 91 OVR.    One last thing, I want to apologize if this isn't the place to be posting this. I didn't notice any particular thread that this would have been better for.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-e6vZLvwUzE   As you can see in the video, the goal is to hold R2 for an acceleration burst and score a TD, which I complete without a problem, but for some reason, the game refuses to count the attempt as a success. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I've restarted the session multiple times and even backed out to the main franchise menu - neither seemed to fix the issue. I'm about to restart the game entirely, but I wanted to see if anyone had an answer first.

So after a little fiddling and a playoff set completion, Goedert finally got me to 90 OVR (the lineup builder says I'm a 91) and I decided to randomly upgrade Sanders to a 90. Probably a few linemen, both on offense and defense. I'm also curious whether someone has any advice for playing online because I can't win to save my life and I'm not THAT bad at the game (haven't really played online much because it's incredibly irritating, I'm currently sitting at 1-3 with my one win a quit). For example, the last game I played against someone I lost 14 - 50 - I literally couldn't do anything against him and he kept running up the score on me because I taunted after a 50+ yard option score with Vick (it was an incredibly lucky play). Regardless, I couldn't stop him even though I have a fairly decent defense, granted it wasn't as good then as it is now. Any tip is welcome, be it playbooks, players, etc - doesn't matter - I appreciate it all nonetheless. I also apologize for the novel, it wasn't needed.

Not really a "new" member, been using the site itself for a few years, but I figured it was time to pick up on some stuff and start communicating with the community. Actually wanna get better at the game, to say the least.   Aaaanyway, if anyone's interested, I stream a little madden almost every night and thinking about setting a specific time for it since I don't strictly play Madden (maybe I should.) Not needed though, just throwing it out there. I'll be posting in lineup discussion as well since I can't get better without showing what I'm working with.   kthxbye! (kill me)
