Weekend league is always the most enjoyable thing for me every year, and it is not any fun this year. Everyone runs the ball, and it is all up to luck whether or not you stop it. I played the crap out of this game, grinding out a 89 ovr squad while only buying the level packs, so whenever I get beat by someone with Baker at qb that passes the ball twice all game, it's just not fun. It wasn't all bad, though. I made the single greatest Madden memory I have ever had: I beat Problem Wright on his stream. I'll never forget that, but it also shows how broken the game is. I had no business beating him, but he tried to pass, and I ran the ball because I was scared hahaha. Too often, the best man does not win. Who knows, I may come back and play if they release an update that nerfs the run before the new COD comes out, but I doubt they do that. It's a shame, too, this game had so much potential early in the year. If nothing changes, see you in Madden 21 MutHead!

Hello, I think that can shed some light on playoff matchmaking/ h2h seasons matchmaking. I have played a lot of h2h this year, so I feel like I have a good grasp of how it works. These are some things that go into matchmaking: In a regular season matchup, you will play somebody within, or close to your division (Rookies play rookies, MVPs play legends, etc). This one is obvious. Playoff matchmaking is a bit different. Once you get to the playoffs, you are either matched up with someone who is also in their playoffs (around your division) or, just as often, you are matched up with someone who is in a substantially higher division than you. These people in the higher divisions are in regular season games, not their playoffs. I know this because I sit at the legend or MVP division, and I typically play about two lower overall/lower skill people in their playoffs per season. Note, overall is not a direct factor in matchmaking, but it is a typical side effect of playing people in higher divisions.

Since Russell Wilson and Mike Evans did not get a card this TOTW, it is pretty clear that there are plans for them to get a card in the next promo (probably mut heroes). Who else doesn't have an upgrade yet that you think will get a card? I hope they throw the rookie premiere players a bone and give some rookies an upgrade.

He can not. He doesn't get the third ability slot without his full card. Good on you for checking first.

I'm interested to know if there is any difference in the overall skill level of the PS4 Madden community compared to the Xbox community. Not trying to start a childish console war, just curious if someone has played both. For example, I played fortnite on both and noticed that winning on PS4 was significantly easier, at least back in early 2018. Are there any similar trends in madden?

I now realize the only way to counter the run game is fumbles, so make them frequent again to punish people for running it 20+ times a game. The state of this game is honestly disgusting.

I was able to get my hands on a cheap Vick the day before Series 2 dropped, only 1.2 million (I say only, but it was my while coin stack). After playing about 25 games with him, I've come to some conclusions: Surprisingly, I've seen no difference in how they perform throwing the ball. I have play fake chem maxed on Vick (+2 med acc), but that's it. In fake, he throws on the run much better and his high throw power definitely comes in handy. Vick is better at scrambling, but he fumbles just as much. With escape artist, they escape the pocket at the same speed, but Vick has more agility and speed. I don't recommend juking with Vick or trying anything crazy because he will fumble a lot. Also, being able to outrun d-line spies comes in handy. People quit out a lot more when you have Vick in your top 3. I have had 3 or 4 games in which I take off with Vick for the first time and they just quit out. Vick is more fun to use. Pretty self explanatory, it is fun using a Vick card.

I have always had the goal of making the top 100 in a weekend league, and I have been closer than ever this year, clocking in 18 wins twice and 19 last week. Although, I am beginning to feel like there is a large luck aspect to it now. Currently, I have 3 losses, each of which coming against a guy that rushed the ball 25 times. I like to think my run d is pretty good, but in each of those games there were 2+, multiple broken tackle long touchdown runs from Gale Sayers. I don't know what more I can do than have two guys greet Sayers in the backfield, only for him to juke them both and break off a big run. Hopefully I can pull out a 6-2 finish to make the top 100, but games like that kill a Weekend League run. Also, botheboof these guys through a pick, despite only passing like 5 times. Also, YouTube crackhead blitzes are becoming way too popular. If a guy sends 7 and I block 7, nobody should come through untouched (simple math), yet they always do, and I can only throw outs and quick slants.
