Same, let the complaining commence. I just pulled an 89 from a Flashbacks Live Event too. Dang.

So I just pulled Saquon Barkley out of the Rising Stars Live Event (didn't know that was possible). I run the Spread and I currently have 92 Legends Davis and 87 Kareem Hunt as my 1 and 2 RBs. I was wondering if Barkley is a big enough upgrade over Kareem to take the loss of power from adding another out-of-scheme player, or should I just sell for coins while he's still worth something? Thanks for the help!

I would use video reels on one of the new 92 defensive players like Von Miller before I would go for Thielen. Hopkins is more well rounded, and I sense a Megatron in our Thanksgiving future.

Based on EA's history, I would recommend holding onto Blitz tokens until we see what Thanksgiving has to offer. I would hate to waste all those tokens on packs and find out later that we could have grinded Feast players with them.

Quote from Dan_The_MUT_Man21 >> I have seen more F2P promos in the toilet. MF was garbage. Be gone EA burner account. Not trying to start an argument, but just read Samfromfrisco's post above. He clearly details how to do it. I did the same, minus the $1 popcorn.

Quote from TheMaddenGuru24 >> This is far from true. The problem people had was that there was nothing worthwhile you could get straight from grinding events, and that you couldn't get even close. F2P dictates no MC, and most people define it as not spending coin either, myself included. The idea is that a card is completely free to obtain, no outside currency used. And contrary to what you claim, nearly every single promo in the history of MM awarded something worthwhile straight from grinding events. Just this year, Color Clash gave you an 89 along with a bunch of free other stuff, and a 90 if you budgeted your blitz tokens correctly. In last year's MF promo you were able to achieve one master from straight grinding the events, two if you budgeted everything right and made good decisions with your collectibles, plus gathered pumpkins through the daily goals. The promo right after that one was Thanksgiving, where you could get two full masters straight from playing events and opening free packs. So that is what people were upset about, and they have every right to be. There is no "lack of understanding" here, as you so rudely put. At the start of the promo it looked like you either needed MC and a good chunk of coin or you were out of luck at getting even one master, let alone an 86. That is very unusual to what we've seen in the past, in a bad way. And not only that, since this was the first major promo of the year, it not only annoyed people that it looked to be P2P or coin-driven, it worried people that this was how the major promos were going to go from now on. Players saw how the promo looked at the start, saw the math that showed how it was impossible to get a master without MC or a seven digit chunk of coin, and responded accordingly.

Quote from MdCowDzs >> What exactly are the point of coins if you are unwilling to use them upgrading your team. f2p from my understanding means not spending real money to buy fake money to buy packs. Many members have stopped using this site because of the constant negativity spread through out the forums. I did not spend any MC on this promo and completed it. Imo I completed it free to play. Exactly. Imagine if EA had just handed out the bosses from playing the live events. We would be hearing what we got last year, when everyone was 125 OVR at the end of the year. People would be complaining about everyone getting good players without putting the work in. That's why I had to say something. I'm just tired of people always being discontent. In my opinion, EA did a decent job of making it challenging but still doable without breaking the bank.

Quote from Da_myte >> Quote from MasonTheMUTGod >> How in the heck do y'all have time to complete promos f2p? Not trying to downtalk anyone but seriously do y'all have full time jobs or obligations? Probably not Sell your starters that are going to be replaced, bid snipe elites. I'm a full time college student with 18 credit hrs. I put in an hour or two a day max.

Quote from Shemmar2K >> Quote from Ailman >> F2P doesn't mean spending 5 million coins, F2P means I open up the game for the first time and able to come away with multiple free players without spending money or coins. Color Clash was free to play, you did not need to spend any coins to come away with a good player. You just had to play all the live events.
